The space
The village is located in the National stream and hamlet landscape Drentsche Aa and on the edge of the Hondsrug. The village and its immediate surroundings had seven hundred inhabitants. A significant part of the village is part of the protected village view.
Anloo is a very well-preserved brink village with many monumental Saxon farms. The landscape around Anloo is dominated by ash trees, forests and heaths (Terborgh Estate, Kniphorstbosch) and greenlands along the stream, the Anlooër Diepje.

Staatsbosbeheer (SBB) has an information center in Anloo in the Homanshof. Here you can find extensive information about the national stream and ash village landscape Drentsche Aa.

Also worth seeing is the Dutch Reformed Magnuskerk, a Romanesque church that is largely built of tufa stone with a gable roof. The church dates from the 11th century and is therefore one of the oldest churches in Drenthe. Partly to be able to finance the maintenance of the church, an etstoeldag is held every year around August 19, the feast day of St. Magnus. On this day, a 17th-century court hearing of the etstoel is re-enacted, bringing the village completely into the atmosphere of that time.

Guest access
There is space for a private terrace that is enclosed by a fence of willow branches and is closed off from the rest of the garden. This gives you a lot of privacy. The terrace has 2 garden chairs with garden cushions and a lounger with cushion. You can park your car in front of the house.

Other things to note
There is very good bus connection to Groningen and Assen, boarding is very close to the house
