Cosy bedroom with sink. Shower with toilet and sink are situated next to the bedroom.
The windmill is situated at the southwest of the citycentre. It is surrounded by a sportsarea and the bedroom views a typical dutch green landscape, cows and sheep.
Close to the mill you will find shops and restaurants.
It is easy to get to the citycentre with tram nr.13 or bus nr.69, within 15 minutes.
An original dutch countryside feeling in Amsterdam.
It would be my pleasure to show you around in the top of the windmill. If allowed by the weather conditions, the wings may even run.
Wireless internet is available. During a stay of two (or more) nights, the washing machine and dryer can be used.
There is a water cooker in the room and tea/(instant) coffee is available a the room.
Draadloos internet is kosteloos beschikbaar.
We felt very welcome and could easily feel at home in this incredible windmill home surrounded by ponds and open fields on the edge of a suburb of Amsterdam.
Alles war perfekt!
Roel hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und ist ein super unkomplizierter Gastgeber. Wir kommen sicher wieder!!
Our stay in the windmill was very short, but sweet. It was such a wonderful opportunity to stay in such an amazing windmill! Roel was a fantastic host that welcomed us into his lovely, cozy home immediately. The tour and history of the windmill was a huge plus. The room was very clean, simple, and comfortable. The location of the windmill is also great, short tram ride to the city center and it sits on a beautiful lake. Our breakfast and conversations with Roel were definitely enjoyed by us. We had a blast exploring Amsterdam! When we come back to visit we hope to stay with you again. We thank you, Roel, for hosting us! Anyone traveling to Amsterdam, we highly recommend you stay here!

Roel's windmill is absolutely gorgeous and Roel is an excellent host: friendly, welcoming and very relaxed. The breakfasts were delicious and we had a super time exploring Amsterdam. The bus stop (to take you to the nearest tram stop) is just a couple of minutes walk away, but we also enjoyed the fifteen minute walk to the tram stop, which takes you along the edge of the Sloterplas Lake. The tram into the city centre takes less than 20 minutes, and the trams are really regular so we never waited more than five minutes for one to come along. We spent a lovely three days exploring the city and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the windmill - how often do you get to say that?
Roel and his son Nick were wonderful hosts. The windmill is a very unique place to stay, and the room was clean and homey, with excellent heating and a bathroom right next to it. Roel was an incredibly welcoming and entertaining host, and any time we had a question, he was quick to respond. It was clear his main priority was for us to have a great stay and feel at home. Our favorite part about the unit was its location - it is located in a park right next to the water, which was a wonderful break from the busy Amsterdam center which is only 30 minutes by public transit. The bus stop is an easy 5 min walk. There is also a grocery store and a pharmacy very close, with a few bars and shops to choose from. This was one of the most unique places we ever stayed at, and Roel was one of the most wonderful hosts we ever had. Thank you for making our trip that much more memorable!
