San Jose Peten Guatemala is One of the unique town in the state of Peten Guatemala with local families that speak a Mayan itza language, very proud of their native culture, food and dress. walking from San Jose Peten Guatemala is an archeological mayan site Motul where anyone is welcome to hike no entrance fee.

we are close to Flores city where you can go for a day or night tours just ask Oswald our guide to schedule it.

The Mayan kingdom Tikal is 1hr and half from San Jose. is great for a day tour. now tikal is open for sunrise or sunset most tour depart early morning from flores or late afternoon if you want to join the tour we are happy to drive you to flores. or pick you up late if you need it so feel free to ask we glad to make your experience wonderful as part of our guest at Mundo Maya

Yaaxha' is a day tour and beautiful place to visit is my favorite one and most children love it. so ask oswaldo our guide i'm sure he will be happy to drive you there because you will need a pick up.

I'm Mayan itza Guatemalan citizenship from San Jose Peten Guatemala.
since i was 14 yrs old I started working teaching adults to write and read, I did a lot volunteer work in my town.

i had worked in Peten Guatemala organizing women's associations to protect our Mayan rainforest and building resources to provide work in the communities to access to an economic benefits empowering for a better life and training women about their right in the society to stands for their rights.

1)Ixchel-women's Association. Animal Breeding -wildlife Programs introducing and harvested in a sustainable yield levels.

5)The Nature Conservancy - community leader being part of the building and opening campings sites and ecological cabins in the Mayan route including Mexico, Belize and Guatemala.
