For the safety and protection of our guests and cleaning staff, we have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures as recommended by Airbnb, which includes, wearing gloves, washing hands before & after cleaning, clean then disinfect with at least 70% alcohol, cleaning soft surfaces, using heat settings for laundry and checking expiration date of cleaning supplies.

The space
A quiet country setting conveniently situated on Highway 290 and only 15 easy minutes from Main Street Fredericksburg, Last Stand TX is more than five acres of historic live oaks, a rambling creek, darting hummingbirds and menagerie of wild life. The decor is a blend of modern and rustic with all the amenities of home.

At 200 square feet, Klein Peach Cottage is our economy cottage and a tiny home lover’s dream! It's coziness and charming vibe make it the perfect romantic spot, boasting three marriage proposals in its short history. Klein Peach Cottage offers a queen bed, bistro dining table, dorm-sized refrigerator, single cup Keurig coffee maker and microwave (K-cups, sweetener and creamer provided). The private bathroom is hidden behind a beautiful sliding barn-door with antique door knobs and it’s equipped with a walk-in shower and the perfect shelving unit for all your toiletries. Basic toiletries provided include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer, hair spray, facial cleanser, and a basic first aid kit. A small open closet area with plastic hangers is also available.

Grab a book from the small library or read your own on the private covered porch furnished with barrel height stools and a Garrison Brothers Distillery bourbon barrel which serves as an end table. An outdoor fan keeps the air moving and the mosquitos away as you and your crew play cards and board games chosen from wide selection included.

Enjoy a stroll down to the creek, which feeds to the Pedernales River, and feed the fish. Bring your pole—you may need luck to catch one but it sure is relaxing to try. At night, warm yourself around the fire pit. Look up for the view....the stars at night are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas.

The property includes a cell phone signal booster, Wi-Fi, and is partly powered by the sun.

Guest access
You have access to the entire cottage and a shared common area which includes a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table, horseshoe pits and bean bag toss games. The four cottages are situated around the common area.

Other things to note
• This is the country where you'll not only enjoy watching the deer roam and the birds fly, but you’ll also hear dogs barking, coyotes howling, roosters crowing, and critters crawling.

• We take great pride in our housecleaning, but we recognize that spiders and scorpions are typical in this environment. Therefore please do not leave your clothing on the floor and watch where we step. Slippers are a great defense and provide extra warmth on cold nights. Covered-toe shoes are also recommended when walking around the property

• Your children are welcome but the cottage is not childproof.

• The property and cottages are conveniently located directly off Highway 290 which means you will hear passing vehicles from time to time.

Last Stand is a 5 acre country setting off Highway 290 in downtown Stonewall, with access to a local cafe, diner, and general store. The outside highway noise becomes a hum once you step inside the cottage. Hye, TX home of Garrison Brothers Distillery, Hye Market and Hye Rum, is about 5 miles east of Stonewall. Main Street Fredericksburg is a short 15 minute drive west on Highway 290. While the area is known for the many local wineries, the options for spending your time are endless. Be sure to check out my Guidebook for my favorite local recommendations.
