We live in a small, private community (Pioneer Outlook) located within a ranching area near Dillon, MT. Many of our lots are 'water lots' and receive irrigation water for our fields from the Beaverhead River. Some of our neighbors board horses or cattle, and one neighbor has an excellent boarding facility for dogs and cats. There is no 'through traffic' in our community ...so it is very quiet, clean and peaceful.

After retirement from 40+ years as semiconductor technologist in 2010 we moved to Dillon, MT to enjoy fly fishing in beautiful Blue Ribbon trout streams. We chose to live in Dillon because of the friendly people, beautiful mountains, valleys and rivers ...and exceptional summer climate. Dillon is a rural valley area dedicated to ranching and farming; many of the inhabitants are direct descendants of the original homesteaders. My wife & I spend much of our time gardening, cooking, oil painting and roaming. During the winters it becomes very cold (Website hidden by Airbnb) we spend our time tending the fire in our wood stove, cooking, entertaining guests, listening to music, reading and oil painting. We have both traveled extensively and have been enriched by these travels. One of our great regrets is not being able to remain in contact with the wonderful friends we've made around the world. ...But there are always opportunities to make new friends.

During your stay
We tend to be 'homebodies' & are usually around to help in any way. I love vegetable gardening, making preserves & cooking. I'm also an avid fly fisherman, fly tier and oil painter. Our area is peaceful & restful, and has very little traffic.
