Cafes (check out Gratitude Cafe on Rogers ave. and Midwood st.) and restaurants reflect various backgrounds. A yoga center just opened only two blocks away. I can also take you or show where to go for a delightful hang out spots or bars with Jazz concerts and hilarious comedy shows.

Please note that this not a hotel room with a 24 hours service which is why it's so so so much cheaper, and much more laid back than hotels. Also, the room is in a house that was built in the 1920s so while you can find so many of Brooklyn's characters in it, it's not really shiny. In addition, the pictures are taken by a professional Airbnb photographer. I love those photos but some guests commented that Airbnb photos didn't convey the real look of the room. In any case, pictures are taken for the same room, I assure you. Lastly, please consider picking up after yourselves (towels, bath stuff, bathroom mat, and wash your plates/pots after cooking). At times, guests think that the house is untidy or dirty when it's actually another guest who decided to leave things unwashed... etc. :). In addition, please be advised that when you don't clean after yourself in the kitchen or bathroom, or when you eat in your bedroom that there may be a chance that you see a mouse or roach. Thanks for reading.

Enjoy your city in the great New York City!!!

I would not stay here again if you paid me. The woman, room #1, seems to hover over the place, waiting for you to do something wrong. When you do, there’s door slamming. The worst was how she moved my things around, my personal property. So your boundaries are crossed. She actual…

Response from Natasha:
Regarding the personal property, the other female guest had to ask her to remove the used sanitary towels that Marcia left on the top of the sink in the bathroom. Marcia also felt free to put used socks and intimates in the hallway. Also, she left the gas on while the stove was not lit, which would have been dangerous if the other guest didn't smell it in the house. When I emailed Marcia about it, she never responded, explained or even apologized. Marcia showed a really bad communication skill. Before checking in, I sent her several emails asking for the check in time, but Marcia didn't give me a time. At no time I or any other guest touched any of Marcia's belongings that were in her room or personal space, but leaving a used sanitary towel on the sink did need an intervention.

Natasha was easy to communicate with and the place was clean and quiet. Easy to get to the 2 & 5 Train. Definitely book again if I'm ever back in NYC.

My stay this time was much the same as the last. Natasha or her brother were quick to answer any question you may have. The room was clean and just the right size for a lone traveler. Also, there are a ton of stores and restaurants within walking distance so it's a great location…

Staying with Natasha was a very different experience than I expected. The Airbnb was separate from her home with four bedrooms for other Airbnb-ers. It was nice having our own space and I was lucky to have met and lived with some really awesome people.
