The Master Bedroom and Garage are off limits. You must keep the bathroom and kitchen neat. You have access to a small shelf in the kitchen to store your food one shelf not a large space. I am available and will also give you space. Will share my knowledge of the area. I am home most days.

Other things to note

Things to Consider:
Laundromat is a few minutes away by car. You may NOT use the laundry room. Grocery store nearby must have a car. Stop and Shop, Fairway and Trader Joe's all 5 minutes by car; There is a cleared area in Kitchen to store your food. I don't cook or prepare breakfast. You may cook and use my dishes. New York City 20 Minutes There is a bus to NYC (with no traffic it takes 20 minutes). The walk downhill is a little steep but can be done to get the bus. You must have a car to get around from my home. Shared bath and shared kitchen, each person is required to keep Kitchen & bathroom clean. Small Dog lives in the house, hypoallergenic, he is an amazing, lovable dog...he will never bite, he does bark (not too much). If you come home late entering quietly will help...If you don't let the door click, he may not notice. I am allergic to every animal on the planet because he is a poodle it's the only kind of dog that I am NOT allergic to he is groomed monthly. He does not go in the bedrooms unless you want him there. If I am free, I could provide transportation to Newark airport for $30. Cleaning staff enters rooms and will change your bedding if you have clean sheets ready (You must clean your sheets at the laundromat or use your own) housekeepers will ensure the rooms are kept neat. YOU MUST unlock your door to allow them to enter; they will not enter if the door is locked. Currently, they come on Thursday morning please be out of the way. One person per room in the household, no guests. If the garbage is full, please bring it out. Buddha (my dog) does use a pad when indoors and will be cleaned as soon as I see it. Keep the bathroom doors closed.
I do not prepare breakfast I have Celiacs disease and must be very careful with my food, but I do not place restrictions on you and are welcome to cook, as long and clean up right after and put your dishes away. My home is rather quaint, earthy and homelike, and I do like it kept neat. If you use the stove, you must clean it. You may NOT rent movies on my tv. I am not comfortable with Uber drivers coming around all the time, and my neighbors are not as well.

As a shared space we must all do our part to keep the kitchen clean.

1. Always wash your dishes and put them away.
2. Always wipe down the stove after you cook.
3. Sweep the floor after you cook, do not leave crumbs on the kitchen floor, this is a problem with ants.
4. If you use the oven, you must clean it as well.
5. If you use the toaster, you must clean the crumbs after.
6. The filtered water is a shared expense; please contribute your portion based on your usage.
7. The countertops must be cleaned, EVERY time you cook in the kitchen. Often I found spilled food on the countertops, and this attracts ants.
8. The kitchen table must be wiped down if use the table.
9. If you use any kitchen items, cups, napkins, paper towels and spices, please make sure you leave replacements.
10. Do not take up more than your share of space in the fridge; each housemate needs room for their food.
11. When using the microwave, there is a green plastic cover, place it over your food and clean it after each use.
12. If the garbage in the kitchen is full, please take it out, there are pales in front of the house.
13. Break down all boxes, and I will bring them to be recycled, leave in the kitchen.
14. Put all Plastic Bottles in recycle bin in the kitchen.
15. Do Not Put Food in Kitchen sink because of Septic Tank.
16. ALWAYS clean food from sink in the garbage do not leave it in the drain.

Thank you and I Hope you have a great Stay!
Kind Regards, Felise

During my three month stay with Felise, I felt like a member of her family. From the very first week, I felt that she truly cared to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible. I was doing hospital rotations at St. Joseph's medical center just down the road and the commute couldn't have been easier. I loved being right next to the park with a great loop for walking and running. Her back deck has the most breathtaking view in all of NJ, you can see the entire NYC skyline! Felise was always available to chat and answer any questions about the area or getting to NYC. She also checked in routinely to make sure everything was perfect for me. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Felise is a great host and her house is a great place to stay. She was very accommodating, any and all issues were handled immediately and with ease. The house is in a great location that is very close to local businesses and and hospitals which makes doing rotations very easy. I would recommend staying here if you have the chance!

The neighborhood is quite and nice. There's a park nearby where you car go for a walk or run. Felise is really friendly and concerns the well beings of her guests. Since I was the only guest watched TV during my stay, she moved the TV to my bedroom to make it more convenient for me. Also, she's very helpful if you have any kinds of questions.

Felise is a great host. I really appreciated her positive attitude and welcome. Her house is on a quiet street a short walk from Garrett Mountain Reservation with a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline from her deck. Very cool to watch the sunrise over New York with your morning cup of coffee. Thank you Felise for sharing your home.
