Our cozy, comfortable and spacious apartment is only minutes away from fine dining, shopping and antiques. Also, an easy drive to many tourist areas including Amish Country, French Creek and Philadelphia. Center city Reading and the affordable Santander venues are less than 10 minutes away by car. Great accommodations for both couples and business travelers alike. Quaint and charming best describes your private four-rooms and bath with fireplace, porch, Wi-Fi and flat screen TV viewings.

The space
Two separate bedrooms with comfortable living area, eat-in breakfast area, kitchenette and private bath. Plenty of room during the day with great seating and sleeping options. Privacy by day, and night, with comfortable furnishings both indoors or outdoors. Some of the furnishings are from the former Mill Stone BnB Oley location. A outdoor deck and wood burning fireplace add warmth and comfort to the setting.

Upon entering our four-unit property through easy entry (and always open front door) you continue up the stairs to your own secured and private entrance - to the large, open space and fully furnished guest apartment.

Other things to note
While off-street parking is available, numerous spaces in the front of the Mt Penn guest apartment are aways open for our guests.

Only minutes away from the Albright, Kutztown and Alvernia Universities, along with RACC and the Penn State University - Berks campus. Very short drives to both Santander venues along with Tower Health, Philadelphia Premium Outlets and many West Reading eateries and shopping.

After 30 wonderful years working as an educator both my wife and I started a little business. We opened our former Oley residence to over-night guests. With our Mill Stone Bed and Breakfast we began meeting people from all over the states as well as international guests. It was fun, but lots of work! Times changed - and we’re sleeping in more now. ... with additional time for us to relax and travel - like you! Our present Mt Penn guest lodging is the perfect solution. Our current 2-bedroom apartment offers a sampling of what the previous B&B offered. This fully furnished, functional and comfortable apartment allows travelers to relax and stay in a setting with technology and creature comforts. Living away from our work environment gives us plenty of time now to continue additional activities such as reading, yard work, plenty of traveling and DIY projects.
