The space
What distinguishes us from other accommodations is the immediate proximity to nature: the bungalows are located in the middle of the jungle and sloths, toucans, iguanas and colorful butterflies can often be discovered from the hammock.
We offer you accommodation in stylish wooden bungalows on the banks of the Rio Caño Negro surrounded by the incomparable tranquility of nature. Our cozy rooms (4 m x 4 m) are equipped with one or two double beds, have a ceiling fan, mosquito net and private bathroom and have a spacious terrace with a hammock, table and chairs and views of the river.

Our “El Tucán Jungle Lodge” is located in Cocles - 4 km from Puerto Viejo - and is 1 km off the main road. The 2-hectare grounds and the surrounding area invite you to take walks and explore, where you can discover howler monkeys, parrots, river turtles and colorful frogs.

But "civilization" is also within easy reach: you have Wi-Fi access from all rooms. A well-stocked supermarket is 1 km away and several restaurants are 1-2 km away.

For guests who do not arrive by car, rental bicycles are offered nearby. There is a regular bus service to the surrounding area and to San José. In addition, we can order a taxi for you at any time. The beach is just a couple of minutes away by bike.
