Please read full description before booking. This artful, cozy, updated cabin is 1 mile from WWC and river trails, near Blue Ridge Prkwy, 15 mins from Black Mtn and Downtown Asheville. Near East AVL restaurants and breweries. Cabin is across from Hidden River Events venue. Enjoy the rustic-yet-refined atmosphere, porches, original art, fire pit, and welcoming hosts.

The space
Welcome to Hidden River Cabin! This is a wonderful place to call base camp when exploring the areas of Asheville and Black Mountain. The 1,380 square foot cabin is located halfway between these two towns (15 minutes either direction) that are filled with delicious restaurants, arts and culture, and yet it has all the amenities nearby to stay in and utilize the great kitchen and dining area. The cabin has an updated bathroom downstairs that features a clawfoot tub with shower attachment. There is a cozy living area, with a fold out futon, one smart TV, and an additional reading nook.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a new Hilton line king bed, twin day bed, and newly installed small bathroom with tiled shower. The other small bedroom has two twin beds, one tucked back into a sweet little alcove.

Three (3) minisplit AC units were recently installed in 2023 to keep you cool in the summer and toasty in the winter. The main house heater is a vented propane wall heater in the kitchen area.

THE MAIN CABIN HOLDS A MAX OF 6 PEOPLE (possibly 7 but might be cramped), including children. A party of 6 requires usage of a futon in the living area or the onsite air mattress. There are beds for 5. Parties of 8 must also book the tiny cabin on-site if it is available during your specific dates. Please inquire in your booking request if you are interested in booking the tiny cabin as well. This is a great option for parties who contain a couple or small family who would like a little more privacy from the group. It is a great overall property for wedding guests or a bride and groom who are getting married at the Hidden River Events venue down the lane. Please DO NOT USE the "Instant Book" feature if you have more than 6 in your party as we need to confirm that the tiny cabin is available during your specific dates.

Neighborhood highlights

The cabin sits on a 1.25 acre lot with a collection of great spots to sit outside. This is not a “secluded cabin in the woods” but rather is a cozy cabin in a rural yet convenient setting. You can see neighbor's homes, but with the way the lot is positioned in the landscape you still have a sense of privacy throughout your stay. There is a large church parking lot across the way, and expansive fields down the gravel lane towards Hidden River Events venue (you may hear music in the distance from the weddings and events taking place, although they are required to end amplified music by 9:30 on weekdays and 10:30pm on weekends.) You will likely hear sounds of the neighboring goats, chickens, and donkey. Guests are very happy with the close proximity to both Asheville and Black Mountain while still feeling connected to nature.
