The space
Like a time machine to the 1930's.
All wood house and furniture.
Old style plumbing. New electric.
Gas stove for cooking
Wood stove for heat (Electric and gas backup )
The cabin was built in 1920. Almost a century old. It was renovated in 1995 after Purchased by current owner.
Please : No smoking inside the cabin.
The driveway is very passable but some with low vehicle clearance have expressed I should give a heads up. If you’re not sure, you can walk down the driveway first.
The river trail is over 50 miles long and no motorized traffic is allowed
Very private. Located on 75 acres of private property adjoining the New River Trail
Dogs allowed

River access for fishing, kayaking, hiking and biking along the New River Trail and State Park
Other things to note
Water source is from a spring and has delicious water. Please be conservative with water use although it fills automatically and has a 600 gallon reservoir. Babbling brook runs beside the yard all year. Clean clear water.
10 minute wooded Path to river alongside creek
Lots of flora and fauna so if you don't like bugs this may not be the place for you. Owner is a gardener who grows flowers and other unusual tree and bush specimens.
The cabin is 3 miles north of Fries and about 7 miles from Galax.
