Start Line Inn has open floor design. Exquisite renovation. Powered by solar energy! Eco-friendly & energy saving design using reclaimed materials, energy star appliances, LED lighting and much more. Spacious, fully-equipped kitchen and living area perfect for gathering. Picture windows overlook ski & bike trails. Sleeping areas: 2 full beds with privacy curtains, 2 couches, loft space has full futon plus room for sleeping bag and cot in entry. Play hard outdoors, enjoy cabin relaxing. Coffee and tea provided.
Your dog is welcome. Please confirm pet as guest when making reservation.
$25/night fee will apply.

The cabin, grounds and trails are all yours! Guests have exclusive use of wax hut: heated, well-lit, Bluetooth radio, 2 wax forms/benches, ski storage racks & ample secure storage for your other equipment, such as bikes. We have you covered for races & training. Start Line Services our Bike and XC Retail & Service Center, is located at lower level. Services include: repairs, stone grinding, waxing & select bike and XC retail. If you forgot to pack some essential equipment or weather conditions are not as expected, we likely have what you need.

Trees and trails. Four season adventures in the woods. Our town is small & closes up early, so plan accordingly for dining out & groceries. You cannot beat Rivers Eatery or The Portage for dinner. Breakfast/Lunch try Velo Cafe, Brickhouse Cafe or Cable Cafe. Friday nights are fishfrys & Sawmill Saloon even pairs this with martinis. Area has a thriving artist community. We are happy to share information on where to go for what you need. If you just want relaxation with no cooking, we can recommend local caterers.

My husband & I are recently retired, he as a Chicago firefighter & I as a diagnostic radiologist. We are reinventing ourselves as innkeepers in Northwoods of WI. We just got our listing on Airbnb & look forward to greeting & getting to know our guests. We both enjoy living in harmony with the natural world. We are avid Silent Sport enthusiasts, partaking in XC skiing, hiking & biking etc. We share life with our rescue dog. Our children are young adults exploring their careers.
