Newly constructed 1000 sqft loft in a 19th century restored historic home in Downtown Opelika, Alabama. Loft design combines repurposed 100+ yr old pine and exposed brick mixed with industrial chic decor. A perfect getaway spot nestled in the tree tops of 100 year southern pecan trees. The Tree Top Loft is conveniently located in the Opelika entertainment district - convenient to restaurants, breweries, distilleries and shopping. Auburn University is an easy 15min by car.

The Tree Top loft is situated above the new Sound Wall Studio in Historic Opelika (15min from Auburn University). The house was originally built in 1907 and had been abandoned for the past 20 years. In the Spring 2016, the Slocumbs purchased the 1/2 acre property with plans to establish a recording studio on the main level and a residence loft in the attic. The 16 foot ceiling height in the loft gives this 1000 sqft apartment a surprisingly open, spacious feel. Guest have a private entrance on rear of the house - parking available at rear as well. Upon entering the loft, you are greeted by a very comfortable sitting area - great for reading, writing, and relaxing. A short flight of stairs brings you into the loft living area with dining area, sleeping quarters and living room. The kitchen boasts beautifully crafted heart pine counter tops with wood repurposed from the 1907 home, and the original exposed brick chimney. Complete with even a dishwasher, cooktop and full size washer/dryer. Located in the front gable of the house is the very spacious and well situated full bath with a walk-in rain shower. Designed to give you all the comforts of home in a truly unique space - we hope you choose to stay in the Tree Top Loft on your next visit to the Auburn / Opelika area.

Guest have access to the entire loft residence. Parking is available at the foot of the stairs making accessibility very convenient.

Auburn University and Downtown Auburn are 15minutes by car - very convenient.
