Roaring River, North Carolina, United States

The cabins are only 20 minutes from civilization! Elkin is 25 minutes. Wilkesboro is 35 minutes.
Several restaurants are within a 20-25 min. drive of the cabins. A new favorite is 222 Main in Elkin -lots of brews, gourmet pizza, great wings; Southern on Main has great food with a homemade twist; Skull Camp Brewery on 2000 N. Bridge St in Elkin. Theo's in Jonesville has a huge menu with a Greek/Italian flare.
If you are looking for wine, there are a handful of beautiful wineries within a stone's throw of Kelley Acres: Roaring River winery is the closest...3.5 miles!! Raffaldini, Laurel Gray, Windor Run, Brushy Mountain, Grassy Creek to name a few.
For the outdoor explorer in you - pay a day visit to Stone Mountain State Park. Just a 5 mile drive from Kelley Acres - activities include: trout fishing, hiking, an historic homestead, swimming (Widow's Falls).
If you forgot your sandwich makings, pay a visit to the Amish store/grocery, Shiloh General Store.
