Come and visit our charming vintage Tiny House! The cottage was built in 1927 by a lovesick sailor for a daughter of Charles Wood, one of Port Angeles' earliest settlers. It was constructed in the likeness of a ship with a comfortable bedroom attic and cozy living area complete with kitchen, dining area and full bath. Explore the countless details and ideas of this truly original tiny house.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets in the house or on the premises.

The space
The Tiny House is located near the bluff on the waterfront. It is an easy lovely one-mile walk along the Discovery Trail from downtown Port Angeles. It is the guest cottage on the property of a historic homestead with its own separate access through the back gate.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house. It is a private free-standing cottage behind a larger historic home. Please be respectful of the privacy of the main house residents.
From the property you can easily reach many of the Olympic Peninsula's prime attractions, such as Hurricane Ridge (20 miles), Lake Crescent (23 miles), Lavender Farms in Sequim (16 miles), historic Port Townsend (46 miles), the Hoh Rain Forest (89 miles), the Sol Duc Hot Springs (42 miles), Cape Flattery (80 miles),and the beaches of Forks (58 miles).
Port Angeles is located about 130 miles from SeaTac and 140 miles from downtown Seattle.

Other things to note
The bedroom is accessed through a steep and narrow staircase functioning more like a ladder. There are handholds on the side. True to its name, everything in the tiny house is compact and relatively small, including the kitchen, bed, dining room table and bathroom. It is comfortable for two people but keep in mind that this is a small space.

The Tiny House is not suitable for more than two people, including children.

Jason is originally from Chicago and spends his time working on sustainable housing and doing ecologically restorative land development in the western US. His partner, Doro, is from Germany and has lived in many different countries. She is an anthropological linguist and studies and documents Indigenous languages in Australia and the US. We spend a lot of our time traveling and exploring new places and ideas. We've made our lives about the spaces we live in, the food we eat, the communities we build, and our relationship with the natural world.
