The space
This is our romantic 2-level stone cottage with:-

Your exclusive wood-fired hot tub with amazing views
Luxury heated spa bathroom on the lower level with free-standing bath
Cute centrally heated living space and super comfy bed on the upper level
Covered outdoor lounge area with log burner and serene views
Your own BBQ area with outdoor table & firepit under the stars
Local pubs and restaurants serving great food

...together with spectacular views.

This is definitely:
a special place for a romantic weekend away
a marvellous spot to chill out
a great location for all the great North Wales action attractions like Zip World and Surf Snowdonia).

The luxurious spa bathroom on the lower level is a surprise treat – stone walls, freestanding bath and even an open fire grate with lots of candles, very atmospheric!

There is no internal stairway between the upper and lower levels, but we supply bathrobes & clogs so you can comfortably wander the short path between the upper and lower levels in your garden area.

And sitting under the stars in your own wood-fired hot tub is not to be missed (for your use only!)... let the aroma of the burning wood carry you away to relaxation central! (Firewood for both the logburner/firepit and the hot tub is purchased on-site, and there is the option to have tub pre-heated for a small fee).

The Bothy is set in the grounds of a lovely Georgian country home and includes so much: gazebo with panorama of the beautiful surrounding hills; yoga deck, picnic table to laze and have a glass of wine while you prep your delicious BBQ; cuddle up and watch movies (eclectic collection of movies provided, or Netflix... or even stream to your ipad while you laze in the tub!);

Kitchenette too for cooking or a late night hot chocolate (mini fridge, hotplate, microwave, kettle, crockery, cutlery...and all the usual accessories etc).
Or visit some of our great local eateries (North Wales' Best Country Pub & Restaurant 2018 just a few minutes drive, and one of our favourite Pubs with fabulous multi level wine terraces and inspiring views into the Vale of Clwyd is even closer)...Local pub just a short walk across the fields & nearby shepherd's hut that serves great coffee and cakes!

We are just 1 hours drive from Liverpool/Manchester and 30min from Chester...but you'd never know it!

There is a one off tub usage charge of £5 for your whole stay.
There is a one off BBQ usage charge of £5 for your whole stay.
Wood for the firepit/log burner (with marshmallows & toasting sticks!) is £10 per basket.
Smoking is permitted, but only in certain designated outside areas. If guests breach this requirement then they agree to pay a £50 surcharge to sanitise the property.
We are animal lovers but unfortunately cannot accept pets (please do not ask for an exception, as a refusal may offend)
NB: As you might imagine, some IMPORTANT CHANGES have to occur, because COVID-19 remains prevalent in the UK.

Firstly, because Cae Gwyn is our family home, we have to consider the increased exposure to our family. In this regard, we are requesting guests to bring their own bed linen & towels:
• King sheets x1
• King duvet cover x1
• pillowcases x4
• towels suitable for hot tub/beach trips

We will supply a duvet inner and (COVID appropriate) liner & comfy pillows x4.

Secondly, we will be meeting new industry cleaning protocols to ensure you feel safe coming to a new environment. We will supply hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes for your use during your stay. Rubbish bins & bags are provided and guests are required to take rubbish with them as they check-out.

Thirdly, there will be an optional no-contact check-in. Please note because of the extra requirements, earliest check in will therefore be 4pm.

We trust, in the current circumstances, you understand these changes, and we include a complimentary bottle of Prosecco-on-ice in recognition of this.

Not far from the tiny 'city' of St Asaph is our little village with its tiny school and ancient church. The outlook into the Vale of Clwyd is stunning and from this property you will have those gorgeous rural views, a flash of the coastline and the snowy peak of Snowdon. No wonder this is officially 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Our visitors are often entranced as they drive through the main gates and see the outlook for the first time! Best of all we are just 2.4 miles from the A55 so access to all that Denbighshire and North Wales has to offer is easily accessible, whether it be the mountains of Snowdonia National Park, the wild coastline, adrenaline activities like Zip World/Surf Snowdonia, great castles or the ancient walled City of Chester.
