I did not meet Alessandra in person, as she was on vacation, but she was pleasant and easy to work with, and quickly responsive to my questions.
Had a very nice (website hidden) is just how it looks. Modern and clean with every kitchen appliance you could imagine! Alessandra was traveling while I was there but still very responsive via email. You are very close to everything by car but walking to downtown Mill Valley is a bit of a hike down some busy streets. Very doable but not all that pretty (unlike most of Mill Valley). To be clear the house is on a nice tree line street, the busy part to walk to town is Miller.
There are some other ways to walk downtown but we have to show you the paths in person and I am sorry we were on vacation and could not show you the alternative to Miller Ave. They are still streets and stairs rather than hiking trails, but at least you avoid the busy traffic of Miller Avenue. Hopefully we can show you next time!
The apartment was exactly as shown on line. The decor is contemporary and inviting. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The shower was great as was the washer and dryer. The views from the windows are private and very lush "MILL Valley". There is ample closet space with loads of hangers. Kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking utensils. Alessandra was hospitable and even joined us to show us a path to walk down to the town. The unit is close to hiking trails in Muir Woods and Mt. Tam. Waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning and sleeping with the windows open was a delight! Alessandra, thank you for a cozy comfortable Mill Valley experience! Ellen and Don Morgan
Alessandra has created an amazingly beautiful home away from home. We loved everything about the apartment. Modern, yet extremely homey and comfy, and extremely well-appointed. The deck is absolutely lovely. The apartment is one of the most beautiful apartments i've ever seen or stayed in. The neighborhood is gorgeous and quiet. Alessandra was available to answer any questions we had and address any of our needs. She even offered us a pint of strawberries she picked up for us at the farmer's market our last day! What a lovely stay, and we will be back. Thank you Alessandra!
Alessandra was a very gracious host and an excellent communicator. Her place is super clean, modern, and has all the amenities you desire for a comfortable stay. I loved her artistic touches!
Alessandra was a lovely and helpful host and the apartment was so comfortable that our only regret is we didn't book longer. The kitchen was well-stocked, rooms were spacious and clean, and the decor really cute. The location is close to town and super sunny and bright. Hope I get to stay again and would definitely recommend!
We recently stayed in the guest apartment of Alessandra Gallo in Mill Valley. We can't say enough about the thoughtful accommodations, it was far beyond our expectations. The unit was clean, well appointed and a very comfortable bedroom.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Mill Valley and will definitely book with Alessandra again.
Our whole stay was perfect.
Alessandra (email hidden)e apartment was immaculately clean and spacious for the needs of my wife and I. The kitchen was well stocked and we found all the cooking equipment needed to entertain and enjoy the fresh food and wine of California.
Alessandra's apartment rental is newly renovated and beautiful. She was away when we stayed there, but her boyfriend did a great job getting us settled. Even though the inside of the apartment is fantastic, the best feature, I thought, was the large deck outside, nestled among the trees. Downtown Mill Valley is only a 5-10 minute drive away. We ate at a new restaurant called Molina, which was spectacular, which had many delicious, innovative dishes. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Alessandra was very informative and personable in her correspondence before our arrival. She was out of the country when we arrived, but her partner was there and gave us his contact information. The apartment was really great. We only had a few issues: the plumbing wasn't working very well, there were dirty dishes and utensils in the cabinets/drawers and the clean dishes were still in the dishwasher, and we had trouble figuring out how to open/close the french doors to the deck and how to work the coffee/espresso maker (there weren't instructions on those in the manual). Fortunately, Alessandra's boyfriend did show us how to work the doors to the deck, but it was a little complicated, so we just didn't go out there. Aside from that, the apartment was really nice. Everything was as pictured. Great furnishings and appliances and the wifi worked really well. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, which we loved. The Whole Foods was small but very close and had virtually everything you'd need for a short stay. I'd definitely stay in Mill Valley again.
Very sorry about the plumbing problem...we immediately called a plumber after reading your review and solved the issue.
We also wrote instructions for the Tassimo coffe maker after reading your review. I had left the machine in the apartment before I went to the airport but didn't have a chance to write the instructions!
Apologies for the dirty dishes and utensils put away, they were probably put away by previous guests and we didn't check the cupboards.
The cleaning lady had started the washing machine and the dryer and left before the cycle was finished, which is why there were clean towels and dishes left behind. For those reading this review...it may happen in future again when we have back-to-back reservations, there just isn't enough time to put them away before the next guest checks in, so we apologize in advance!
