Nyheim is our family´s vacation house since 2012 and is located near Åndalsnes along the beautiful Isfjorden. The house has charm and character, originally build in 1926, renovated in original style, with comfortable standards and delicate toilets/bathrooms. The scenic view from the house´s terrace is stunning. Enjoy the sight of Romsdalen´s majestic mountains from this charming gem of a house.

The space
Stay surrounded by stunning natural beauty with spectacular fjord views and easy access to some of Norway’s most iconic mountains and attractions. Whether you want to hike the famous Romsdalseggen ridge, visit the breathtaking Rampestreken viewpoint, take the Romsdal Gondola up to panoramic views over Åndalsnes, the Romsdal Fjord, and the surrounding peaks, or experience the dramatic Trollstigen mountain road, it’s all just a short drive away.

For ski enthusiasts, the area offers excellent opportunities in winter, allowing you to combine peaceful days by the fjord with active adventures in the mountains. The Skorgedalen ski resort is just a short distance away.

You can also explore the beautiful coastline along scenic routes like the Atlantic Road, or take a day trip to the charming towns of Molde and Ålesund.

Other things to note
We’re a family with four children and absolutely love spending time in this house and its beautiful surroundings. Please be aware that the stairs between the first and second floor are quite steep.

This is a charming, older home, and while it offers plenty of comfort, it may not have all the modern childproofing features. Families with young children are very welcome—just keep this in mind when planning your stay.

There are beds for up to 8 adults or older children. In addition, we provide two small beds suitable for children up to around 5–6 years old, as well as a travel crib.

The nearest grocery store is only a 7-minute drive away in Isfjorden, with plenty more shops, cafés, and services available in nearby Åndalsnes.
