The Cabin On Montana offers guests a quiet comfortable place to stay while visiting beautiful Bozeman, Montana. The cabin was fully renovated in the summer and fall of 2016. It is well adorned with all new beds, furniture and appliances. The cabin is also well situated with quick access to Bridger Bowl and other highlights in the area and it is a short walk or bike to the center of downtown or one of Bozeman's many breweries or restaurants. Pricing includes a 7% Bed Tax.

The space
The Cabin On Montana is well appointed with all new high efficiency appliances including a washer and electric steam dryer, refrigerator with ice-maker, garbage disposal, dish washer, microwave, gas range, range hood and vacuum. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchenware and service ware for eight or more. There is a small growler collection for you to use to fill up at the local breweries. The cabin features partial light top-down bottom-up blinds in the kitchen and living spaces and full dark-down bottom-up blinds in the sleeping rooms and office.

The cabin offers new queen size beds in each of the three bedrooms. Each bedroom has a chair, closet, nightstand(s), lamp(s), alarm clock, luggage stands, coat hangers and dresser. The master bedroom also offers an iron and ironing board.

The living room area has a new sectional couch and coffee table. The dining room table can seat four with comfortable chairs or you can add a leaf and use extra chairs to seat up to eight. The living room features a 40" Smart TV with Cable and a HD DVD/CD player. The Sound Bar has a wireless sub. Guests can play music via the TV, including streaming their favorite concerts via YouTube, they can connect to it with their phones or other devices via Bluetooth to stream their favorite music or radio stations or they can play some warpy old vinyl on the phonograph.

The study features an ethernet port, small desk, chair, space for gear and a map table. This is a great room for storing your skis and packs in, hanging your waders in, tying flies, looking at maps, or for sitting down at the desk with your laptop to plan your next adventure in.

There are two full baths in the cabin. Each features high efficiency Moen fixtures, water saving Kohler toilets and Kohler sinks. The upper bath has a new Kohler tub with shower and the lower master bath features a spacious two-person shower. Each bathroom is adorned with white subway tile, great lighting, separate heaters, vents, mirrors. In addition, the lower bath offers seating and a blow dryer. Their are two WiFi channels (5Ghz, 2 Ghz) throughout the cabin, the front porch and the yards. The cabin features a new high efficiency forced air furnace and a new fifty gallon electric water heater. It is thoroughly insulated and features new high efficiency windows and doors. All of the lights are efficient LED and most are dimmable.

The Cabin On Montana's covered front porch offers views of the Bridger Range, privacy blinds, a yellow porch swing and park bench. The front of the cabin faces east and this makes the porch a nice place to sit in the morning as the sun rises before heading out for the next adventure!

The Cabin On Montana was the sixth permitted vacation rental in Bozeman's downtown zoning district. We presented our case to the city commission explaining why the property would be a great representation of Bozeman and assured them that we could jump through their hoops.

The city required us to pay a significant fee to obtain a permit. They required us to write a narrative, to speak to the commission multiple times, to bring the cabin up to code, have the cabin inspected by the fire department, the health department, the engineering department and the planning department. They required a sign. They required insurance and a business license.

We also asked for the approval and all of the property owners that live in the vicinity agreed that the cabin adds value and appeal to the neighborhood and they encouraged us to move forward. They have all been very welcoming.

Then we obtained a business license and called our business a Cabin On Montana. In the end, the cabin is permitted, it is insured, it is up to code, the neighbors are welcoming and it's a pretty nice place to stay too.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin via a front and back entrance. Both entrances are accessed via a key code entry system.

Other things to note
My wife and I have lived in Bozeman, Montana for over twenty-two years. My wife is from Montana and I am from the midwest originally. We both moved to Bozeman to play in the mountains and make a life for ourselves in a place we want to live to rest of our lives.

We are outdoor enthusiasts. We ski and snowboard as much as we can in the winter and mountain bike, trail run, fly fish, raft, canoe and garden as much as we can in the summer.

We live next door to the Cabin On Montana just across the alley to the west. We both work full time here in Bozeman. I work from home which allows me some flexibility to meet with our guests and to offer my assistance when needed.

We are proud parents and active community members. We look forward to meeting you at the Cabin On Montana and hop to have a chance to share our enthusiasm for the place we call home with you.

The entire cabin has lots of windows which allow for a lot of light and nice views of the mature trees and flowers in the yards and the Bridger Mountain Range to the north. The neighbors to the south are two city lots and a fence away and they have no windows facing the cabin.

There is plenty of parking and very little traffic at the end of Bozeman's quiet and eclectic North Montana Avenue. The Cabin has a nice side yard to the south and it sits on a large corner lot. Walking distance to downtown, several parks, the library, a few great breweries, delicious dining options, a couple of coffee shops and the free bus to Bridger Bowl, the Cabin is well situated.

Reno organizes conferences that take place anywhere in the world for a Red Lodge based company. Before this, he sold and guided active vacations around the globe.
