Let this stylish chalet be your home base during your stay in Fairbanks.

12 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from downtown. Enjoy amazing views of the Alaska Range Chena and Tanana Rivers. Explore Chena Ridge with your very own trail through the birch forest behind the house.

This listing is for an entire 3 bedroom home on 2 acres of forest. All roads to the Chalet are paved.

SUV rental also available. With 24 hr shuttle pickup from the airport or rail station.

The space
The Chalet is in a lovely neighborhood with astounding views of the Alaska Range. It is about a 12 minute drive from the airport, and 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks. All roads to the Chalet are paved.

Chena Ridge is probably the nicest residential area of Fairbanks if you like incredible mountain and river views. There are nice walking & cycling trails in the area. In fact one right in back of the house.

My WiFi is lightning fast, and you should also have cell service from all major providers.

Data at the Chalet, however, is not infinite. Although I've never had guests use up my "Enhanced" monthly data plan (10 GB/day), endless movie streaming will eventually exhaust my data and slow it down. WiFi at the Chalet should be fine for a few daily Zoom meetings.

Corona Virus Protection Measures: The Chalet has Ionic Air Purifiers on both levels of the home. Common spaces are all hardwood floors with leather couches. All are thoroughly wiped down between reservations.

The public transportation system is pretty sparse in Fairbanks, so I highly recommend you have a vehicle. I have a small fleet of late model SUVs, all 4WD and equipped with snow tires during the winter season. Please ask if you are interested in a vehicle during your stay. I would have one available for you at the Airport Park and Fly with 24hr shuttle and check in service.

If you are booking during winter months, snow tires are highly recommended.

The house has a heated garage so you can keep your vehicle cozy at night too.

I may not be present during your arrival. The house is set up for self check-in. You will receive the PIN code for the programmable lock upon booking.

Although requests for this are rare, I do allow pets upon prior approval. In these situations I must incur a $40-$60 per trip, per pet fee to account for the extra cleaning.

I will also put towels out near the downstairs wash bin so you can clean your pet's feet before entering the house.

It should go without saying... Pets must be attended at all times. I.E. don't leave them alone in the house.

After guests with pets, all bedding and furniture is treated with a lint brush and high temperature cleaning.

This fee does not cover pet damage. If you do not think a pet fee is acceptable, or if guests should be not be required to clean their own pets before they enter a human living space, this is not the right listing for you.

In winter, the property will stay 20+ degrees warmer than downtown. The skies also remain clear of the ice fog that prevents aurora viewing in lower elevations.

Per AirBNB regulations, parties or events are not allowed.

Do not attempt instant booking after 5pm as PIN number for lock must be programmed for each guest.

Guest access
There are 3 bedrooms, bathrooms up and downstairs, and a garage. Guests can access the entire house, except for the pantry cabinets marked "private" where I store supplies.

Other things to note
The view is what most people comment on about the Chalet. It is truly spectacular.

Corona Virus Protection Measures: The Chalet has Ionic Air Purifiers on both levels of the home. Common spaces are all hardwood floors with leather couches. All are thoroughly wiped down between reservations.

The Chalet is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's on 2 acres of land. Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am.

The house is stocked with cereal, milk and pancake mix, along with an assortment of coffee and teas.

I do not allow the cooking of seafood inside the house. You are welcome to use the outside grill for that.

Check in is anytime After 5PM.

If you require early check in, the Chalet is not a good choice. I take cleaning very seriously, and it's an entire 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. It easily takes me 6 hours to prepare the Chalet for a new group, and my vacancy rate is less than 3%

During your stay
I like to give my guests privacy, so will only stop by on occasion.

I do like to direct my visitors to local theatre productions, live music, comedy shows, wine-tastings, hockey games and all sorts of other events in town.

Fairbanks has a lot to offer the highly social traveler. Especially in the winter.
