Gravitate prime cave-studio ap. for two or four persons. Cave rooms feel like a big "Hug"! The studio has organic and minimalistic look. Naturally cool, comfortably fits four and has breathtaking views to the Aegean. Ten minutes' walk from Fira town.

The Space

Gravitate prime cave-studio for two or four persons. The cave rooms feel like a big "Hug"! the round room gives you that warm feeling, no edges on the walls, comforts the eye. Two comfortable cave-rooms, first room is kitchenette and living room and second room is the double bedroom and spacious shower - room bathroom.

The studio has organic and minimalistic look. Cave studio for 2 or 4 ppl. with breathtaking view from the spacious terrace!

"Firostefani" village is located 10min walk from capital town of "Fira".

Guest Access

The studio has apart from the double bedroom, two single beds a kitchenette and a round cave bathroom. Out in the big terrace there is shared BBQ available and sun-beds and dinning aria with unblocked spectacular views!

Getting around

There is frequent bus schedule during summertime with destination to all points of interest on the island. The big parking lot in Firostefani is free, is only 2min from studio. From the harbor of "Athinios" or the airport of Santorini you need to come to:
St. Gerasimos church in "Firostefani" village
Once in front of the church, turn towards the Caldera bay with the spectacular view.
1. Start descending down the steps towards «Manos small world» hotel and pass it,
2. When you see Agali hotel’s door turn LEFT then pass the 4 big palm tree’s house and it is just the next house the green door to your Left!

Other Things to Note

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket or a windbreaker. It tends to get chilly after sunset. Cobblestone traditional paths and steps in all villages, high heels might damage your feet. All clean linen and towels are provided! As well as local "Nychteri" welcome wine, water, orange juice and filter coffee.

  • It was a genuine pleasure to stay at Sensyo!

'Gravitate' was a well-designed space that reflects the owner Elvira's vibrant and grounded self. As it is a cave dwelling, it was an appropriately cool oasis from the heat. The view is as spectacular as pictured.

As for location, we found Firostefani a wonderful choice: lively and accessible yet not as busy as Fira, which we feel was a great way to experience Santorini.

Elvira and team gave wonderful tips and recommendations, and most nicely arranged transfers for us. Great hospitality with leaving refreshments in the refrigerator.

Efharisto poli, Elvira! Hope to see you again :)

  • The cave apartment was the perfect place for our stay in Santorini! It was clean, comfortable, and especially relaxing, with a beautiful view of the caldera. We enjoyed being in tranquil Firostefani, with an easy walk to both Fira and Imerovigli, and a lot of nice restaurants just up the stairs (we liked Vanilia and Pirouni, plus Cafe Galini for breakfast).

We had no problem with wifi working in the first room of the cave; the signal was only weak in the bedroom.

Elvira is a very friendly and welcoming host. She always responded promptly to our messages. We asked her for information on arranging a taxi back to the port at the end of our stay, and she took care of everything for us! Thank you Elvira!

  • The view from the apartment was sensational including great views of the sunset. The apartment was well equipped and it was a unique experience living in a cave! We were locked out twice as we forgot our keys but Elvira responded promptly and came round to let us in. She has changed the doors now so it won't be a problem for future guests! It is located in Firostefani which is a nice 10/15 mins walk from Fira, offering superb caldera views along the way. We had a great time there and I would definitely recommend it!

  • Our stay in Santorini was a dream come true. The views were spectacular from our "cave". Inside, the cave was well equipped and mega comfortable. Elvira rocked!!! She couldn't have been more helpful and warm. We cannot wait to go back again...Thanks Elvira :) xo

  • We enjoyed our stay in the cave apartment very much. The view is breathtaking, the apartment is cozy but comfortable, and Elvira is a very friendly, helpful and welcoming host. The apartment is very well-located in Firostefani, a small, quiet village just up the road from Fira - it's about a 10 minute walk from the apartment to Fira, along a pedestrian-only path that lines the caldera. We spent one afternoon hiking in the opposite direction - from the apartment to Oia, along a hiking trail overlooking the caldera - spectacular views! They say the sunset-viewing is best in Oia, but we thought the sunset view from the cave apartment was better.

A couple of notes - there is no door separating the main living area from the bedroom in the back of the cave - and we had some trouble with the wifi, but that seemed to be the case for Firostefani as a whole, not just the cave apartment.

  • We appreciated our stay in Santorini. Living in this cave is an extraordinary experience. It is perfectly situated (in a very quiet place).
Make sure you can stay in a room without any window, it's amazing !
There were people working in the cave placed next, the terrasse was not really available, but Elvira was accomodating, to make our trip as well as possible. We recommand this flat for 4 persons, not 5 (we were 5...).

  • One of my favourite Air bnb stays! So beautiful and the location is perfect if you are looking for stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere within walking distance of the centre of Fira but removed enough to feel tranquil. Elvira was warm welcoming and friendly and thoughtful touches like welcoming bottles of wine and fresh juices in the fridge made the cosy cave feel that much more like home.

  • Our stay at Elviras was AMAZING! The pictures do not do the place justice. The cave rooms are so beautiful, warm, peaceful and enchanting. The view from the terrasse is spectacular. Elvira was so accomodating and flexible, she left us wine, juice and water which was such a nice touch especially that we were exhausted after arriving. Everything is close by and the bus stop to beautiful Oia is just at the top of the stairs. I absolutely recommend this magical location. Thanks again Elvira!

  • This apartment is beautiful! The shared front patio is perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Located in the quieter Firostefani neighbourhood with nice restaurants and an easy walk to Fira to catch buses to the beaches. The kitchen contains all of the necessities (olive oil, honey, tea, coffee, etc.) which is very nice when traveling and not wanting to purchase them every time we stay at a new location. 5 stars!!!
