Retired from health care arena. A 30-year resident of Paducah, time is now spent maintaining Little Texas Farm in southernmost Illinois. My wife and I strive to be earth friendly, eco-conscious, and good custodians of the land. We love to share the experience and tell the story of this limestone extension of the Ozarks thru southernmost Illinois east into Kentucky. The property is part of the ecologically unique Cache River Drainage District. An itinerary through Southern Illinois and West Kentucky is a unique way to become acquainted with the pros and cons of land management practices on a mixed-terrain property. My retirement avocation has been to become a year-round gardener to include the use of season-extension techniques.
