Positano is an enchanting place - and Roberta's "Villa Bella" make it all more special. It is located a short, but steep, stair distance that takes 10 minutes to get up from the central main beach or down. Beautiful location, wonderful restaurants that are favored by the locals all with in a short walk, big patio overlooking the sea, air conditioning when you need it most, and great amenities. We were greeted by a lemon welcome drink from her family who are the sweetest people in Italy, and had more help than we expected. They shared their favorite places to eat, helped with reservations, and made sure we had access to all our favorites like laundry, great pillows, beach towels, coffee and espresso maker, wifi, and more. For those who don't know Positano, its is located on the left side of the canyon/hill about equal to the fornillo beach in proximity. Easy to get everywhere like central town or even walking over toward Villa Oliverio by the road in 20 minutes. Best restaurants by far: Da Vincenzo, Lo Guarricino, il Fornillo, and the fresh deli market on via Pasitea. We didn't mind the staircases because we live in San Francisco and are very familiar with the hills; but if you have someone not good at stairs, Positano in general is not the place for you. Every place you want to go includes hundreds of stairs that wind between the villas and are the direct path to getting anywhere. We of course loved the beaches and spent a day over at Fire One private beach (epic and completely fun for adults), Da Adolpho private beach (go to Le Serine at the same beach, and skip the hype waiting for Da' Adolpho). Be sure to eat at the places the locals love - and absolutely get the gelato everywhere you can including at Bucca di Bacco by the central beach. We ended up skipping Donna Rosa restaurant and Next2 --- felt like that had more hype and higher price than the great local recommendations. The sea bass fish at il Fornillo was outstanding, the mussels in tomato sauce and views at Lo Guarracino, and housemade pasta and wine list a DaVincenzo all were amazing. We stayed about 5 days and that was the right amount of time to spend in Positano during August. We also recommend Casa Bella (Roberta's place) with no hesitation. Our favorite part of staying at Roberta's were the hosts and the great night sleep we got every day exhausted from the sun, good food, and fun. Thanks Roberta, Salvatore, and Pena - you are always welcome in San Francisco at our place!

Roberta's home is absolutely lovely. She is kind and communicative and her apartment looks out into a beautiful view of Positano and the sea. We had an amazing time during our visit and found it easy to navigate to town, to the beach and back to Roberts's modern and spacious apartment with an amazing scenic view. I'd highly recommend Roberts's apartment to any potential Positano visitors. You won't be disappointed!

Roberta and her family were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make my husband and I feel welcomed on our honeymoon in Positano. The apartment itself was just as described: beautiful views, close to many restaurants, and walkable to the beaches. Roberta and her parents were extremely helpful in recommendations and advice about the area. Definitely book this place!!

I almost don't want to write this review, for fear of this perfect apartment getting more popular. It's everything we hoped for and more. The terrace is large and the view is amazing. The apartment itself is roomy, and very clean. The kitchen offers a gas stove, and you'll be close to local markets if you'd like to cook. There are, of course, the steps, but that is true of almost anywhere in Positano, and by the end of the trip we appreciated the exercise and thought of it as a way to balance out all of the pasta and wine... Roberta and her family are extremely hospitable and helpful. Don't hesitate to book!

We had the best time in Positano while staying at Casa Bella! The apartment is just as pictured! We cooked our own meals on several occasions, enjoying our meal on the Terrence. What a view! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming in Positano. The Bella's went above and beyond during our stay, making us feel like family! By far, the best hosts we have ever had!!!!! Suggestions: Pompeii is a must see! Take the ferry to Sorrento then the train to Pompeii. Or private transport will give you more time. There is so much to see! Take the Capri grotto tours! Wait and pay the extra for the Blue Grotto. See Villa Cimbrone Gardens in Ravello if you can fit it in. If you're flying in to Rome, take the fast train to Salerno, then the ferry to Positano. You will stop briefly in Amalfi! Highly recommend. Try to get a reservation at Da Adolfo. Private beach bar restaurant with excellent food. Also Da Ferdinando at Fornillo Beach. Addio per ora!
