Beautiful, old house with interesting history!
Kara and her husband were excellent hosts. They actually took me out to dinner and when they found out that I was a civil engineer, they gave me a nice drive around town to see some of Valley City's truly remarkable bridges.
The property itself is an old house, decorated with both antiques and reproductions that fit the age of the house. Although it was small, my bedroom was very comfortable. The mattress had great support and I slept very well.
Valley City is small enough that finding the property was easy, and access to the interstate was very easy.
The place was great! Lots of room. On the river. Great value. Comfortable beds. Kara was accommodating and went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. Good self-catered breakfast. She asked us what kind of juice we would like for our breakfast and went out and got it and other breakfast items before we arrived.
We rested very well.
