The space
Located in Skykomish near Money Creek just 18 miles from Vail’s Stevens Pass Mountain Resort.

Stevens Pass Chalet is the cabin I dreamed of for years. I'm excited to welcome family, friends and guests to this special location.

Families will enjoy the separate upstairs family and game room. Select a VHS movie, play Wii or bring your own blu-ray movies or DVD to use on the 55" flat screen TV with soundbar. If you prefer you can read or play any number of board games, puzzles, and foosball in our recreation room.

Two mirror-image downstairs bedrooms both with queen beds and a triple stack of bunk beds can each accommodate a family with several kids.

The master suite of this three bedroom home is upstairs, private and away from the kitchen and two main floor bedrooms. An attached spacious luxury master bathroom is like walking into a spa.

Couples will be tickled with a glass enclosed dual-head shower for two. Soak off the ski day or sore hiking feet in the master suite claw-foot bathtub or start the jets in our outdoor hot tub to rejuvenate.

Guest access
Enjoy the whole home to yourselves.

Other things to note
I am delighted to share my cabin with you and know you'll love it as much as I do. Thank you in advance for your gentle use and care of the cabin during your stay.

Please review the House Manual and Rules to your satisfaction before booking.

PARKING AND WINTER ACCESS:

Winter driving conditions can change quickly so please refer to the Washington State Department of Transportation website for mountain pass reports and travel conditions which may, at times, recommend or require traction tires, 4WD/AWD drive or tire chains.

Stevens Pass Chalet is located at milepost 46 (this is relevant because WSDOT will typically reference a mile post marker when requiring chains or traction tires. It's typically ~MP 58 but please check yourself).

If you want to check the snow or freezing level - Stevens Pass summit/base areas is ~4,056 feet above sea level. Stevens Pass Chalet is about ~935 feet.

The property is 1.1 miles off Hwy 2 of which 1 mile is on a plowed county road and the remaining .1 mile of gravel road and my driveway are periodically plowed by a private service for the HOA.

In winter months, you may arrive to fresh snow on the roads and driveway. Please do not park on the street as the snowplows and others need access. If available, you may park just off the street in one of the plowed cut outs at the top of the driveway (often the service will give us a cut out for parking until they can catch up with plowing and come back to do driveways).

You’ll also find shovels by the front and back doors to clear fresh snow. If you happen to be present when they’re plowing please help by working with them to move vehicles parked in the driveway as we pay them to plow the private drive for easier access for you and future guests. SEE ALSO PARKING, Paragraph 15 in the Rules section.

Note: If Hwy 2 is open I've always been able to get to the Chalet, we do recommend 4WD/AWD in the winter and, please be aware, you may have to walk down to the house from the top of the driveway and shovel snow at the steps. We do our best to make this easier but it’s not an offered service and sometimes mother nature brings too much snow (it's a good problem and everyone has always been positive and grateful for the challenge these conditions bring).

I'm often back and forth to the mountain in the winter or on a weekend hike in the spring and summer. Also, my caretakers are neighbors and live in the driveway directly opposite mine.
