A 5-bedroom, 2 bath, creekside guest home on a 3 acre mini-ranch situated on the East Verde river. Secluded, beautifully landscaped grounds boast private creek access, massive lawns for outdoor games, exclusive mini-ranch animal experiences, and onsite, guest-exclusive, 4-seat UTV rentals. A perfect launch point for Rim Country adventure: 20 min to Tonto Natural Bridge; 15 min to Washington Park; 4 min from Water Wheel trail. Top 20 Airbnb since '15.

The space
We offer use of approximately 1.5 acres of the property surrounding the guest house adjacent to the creek. ~100 yards of creek access and private, seasonally available trout fishing immediately behind the guest home. Nearest neighbor is the host's home, approximately 50 yards from the guest home. This guest cabin is a two story - offering four rooms with queen or king beds and one room with two double beds (all upscale mattresses), and rooms finished with 'black out' curtains and/or shades with central air and heat to upstairs and downstairs. The house is fully furnished and outfitted as a full time bnb guest home, and as hosts we are a text away if anything is missing or out of order!

Whispering Pines is a destination subdivision 10 miles North East of Payson, Arizona. The area is well known as "Rim Country" as it's situated beneath Arizona's Mogollon Rim. Best known for local hiking, fishing, swimming, and camping - Payson caters to a large number of recreational travelers and campers each year.

The East fork of the Verde River runs right through the middle of Whispering Pines and along the backside of the property. The East Verde greenbelt provides opportunities for exploration along both banks, near the crossings, and at the locally famous Water Wheel hike (and Ellison Falls) just down the street. Serious day trippers will love the hikes near Washington Peak, or the Rim Trail roads/trails at the top the of the Rim. Or, travel 20 min on the control road to Tonto Natural Bridge for a breath-taking experience in the caves, and then run up to Pine for a killer micro-brew you'd never expect to be where it is (See "That" brewery in our House Guide.)

People live here year round (like us) and guests should be careful to respect the neighborhood's privacy and mind the 11pm noise limit. The nice thing about our property is that we're spread out and there's some room to move between us and others - but we do ask guests to follow house rules and respect the peace and quiet of this wonderful neighborhood.

We think you'll find this is a great launch point for day tripping the Rim Country, but wonder if you'll ever make it more than a mile down the road. We find so much to do right here near the house that we often don't feel the need to stray too far from the fireplace.

While we have options where we 'land' each time we travel, Melisa and I call Whispering Pines / Payson, AZ our home base. We live year round on this property in a separate / adjacent house, and run this 'big house' as an AirBNB. With 3 acres, off the main road, and enough room for privacy between the houses - we're out of the way but always here to help.

Married 30 years - we're a real team, and are happy to assist with anything you need during your stay. While we'll give you space, we hope to get to know a thing or two about you while you're here. About Tim: As a full time technology executive, I work in the office cabin at the top of the property and in PHX valley. I love living here - fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and hiking the local trails with Melisa.

About Melisa: I'm a photographer with over 25 years experience photographing kids/families, weddings, head-shots, magazine covers, and more - you name it I've photographed it. I still shoot - and can arrange professional family photos while you're on the property! Message me if interested.
