I'm an energetic semi-retired educator. I myself like to travel, so I'm participating in Airbnb in order to supplement my own travel budget. I'm a people-person so I look forward to welcoming visitors. I have had the privilege of hosting guests from around the world.
Guests may park in my driveway. During the day you may also park on the street, but not overnight. Once you have checked-in and have the key to the front door--you may come and go as you wish. You will enter into my living room, turn right immediately and go up the stairs. Room and private bath are on second floor.
Interaction with Guests
Usually brief chats--depending on the guest's schedule and mine.
I also speak French --and will soon get around to translating this listing.
Quiet, tree-lined streets. Nice neighbors. Easy access to downtown via city streets, also easy routes to expressways. Guests may park on street during day, but please pull into my driveway overnite.
Our public transit company is TARC. There is decent service to my area during the day--not so great in the evening. A cab ride from the Airport to my house is usually about $25 plus tip.
Other Things to Note
My rate varies somewhat by season--$50 or $55 per night Sunday thru Friday, $60 for Saturday nights. More during Derby. Airbnb adds its booking fee. I don't make breakfast for guests but have juice, milk, yogurt, cereal, and fruit on hand. Guests may help themselves.
If you turn on the air-conditioning, kindly close the windows.
Double-check that appliances have been turned off.
Don't forget to take your own phone charger!

I've stayed with Harriette multiple times now. As always, Harriette was very warm and welcoming. The location is wonderful and provides for easy access to the culture and nightlife of Bardstown Road, or quick access to downtown via surface streets.
Harriette went out of her way to ensure we were very welcomed in her home and her city!! Went over everything in great detail, even giving us general map directions. Great communication, loved our stay there. HIGHLY recommended!
Harriette has been one of the loveliest host we've ever met. Our room was very big and clean and my only regret is that we only stayed there for one night. I would like having more time to talk to her. The neighborhood is very peaceful and I would recommend to stay there to anyone
Harriette and this location surpassed all of my expectations. Both the bedroom and bathroom was clean, functional, and suprisingly spacious - more than enough room than I needed. Harriette was such a gracious host, providing an attention to detail that only family members care to provide.
I felt like visiting a relative at this location. The nice suburban feel, proximity to great places, and cozy feel of the home was exactly what I needed in a place to stay for the weekend. I cannot have wished for a better situation or a better host.
Everything at her home was great. She was very kind so I and my husband felt very comfortable. The bedroom and private bathroom is beautiful and very clean. The location is also great in terms of safety and convenience. She gave us good advice and information about Louisville. Thanks a lot!!!
