You will love our place for its prime location of MonumentValley (10 minute drive to the park) and being hosted by a local native family eager to share our culture and highlights of things to see n do in Monument Valley.
Our hogan has a power outlet for lighting, charging devices, or to enjoy a cup of coffee/tea. Wifi is available, but not guaranteed-therefore not charged.
We serve a small, free continental breakfast. Dinner is available upon request, please add to comments when reserving.

The space
Our hogan stay is like camping. It is not for everyone. This structure has NO running water, NO showers, NO AC. A luxury convenience is the electrical outlet for lighting, oscillating fan, & charging gadgets.
The partial earthen floor is natural to the structure. The beds are comfortably made with sheets and blankets. Clean towels are provided with a wash bin. A water igloo holds community treated water for drinking and washing.
BBQ GRILL/FIREPIT: A GAS BBQ grill is available for cooking outdoors. A firepit is provided for your evening enjoyment. Do bring your own firewood (we may have some for sale).
BREAKFAST: Join us in our outdoor kitchen for a free, complimentary breakfast. During extreme or winter weather, we will serve you at your door.
RESTROOM: An outdoor portable restroom is facilitated with motion-censored light about 15 feet from the hogan.
CHECK OUT: turn off any lights, & close the door.

Guest access
The road to the Hogan is a dirt, graded road. Car Sedans can make the drive as well as SUV's. Heavy motorbikes, like Harleys are NOT recommended. The road is soft in areas and very challenging. Look up: MOTHER EARTH ROAD to locate us off highway163 in Arizona. Milepost 416.
CHECK IN: Self check-in is encouraged. We welcome guests to unload before heading out to adventure the park. The door will be unlocked with the keys inside.
We will stop by in the early evening to greet you and cover breakfast details.

Other things to note
NO STREET ADDRESSES: Navajo residents do not have street addresses. I added MOTHER EARTH ROAD to internet map to locate us. Otherwise, please follow the map I send you.
Our ADDRESS: is NOT in KAYENTA. We are in MONUMENT VALLEY, AZ just off highway 163, mile post 416. Look for MOTHER EARTH ROAD.
Take a picture of your map as you will be offline. Internet is hard to get in this remote area.

Hello! Welcome to my bnb site! My name is Rosalyn, and I am a Navajo woman native to Monument Valley. I have four children and have been married for 24 years. I am very excited to have you as my guest (s)! I am living my dream of being your host as a small business owner. I speak my native language and have worked under the Navajo Nation Park for 5 years and my husband for over 15 years. I take pride in our Navajo land, language, traditions, and food. I am excited to share a frybread with you for breakfast with Navajo tea. We would be honored to host your visit while in Monument Valley, considered the 8th Wonder of the World! My travel experience is limited, but I'm anxious for you to share yours! Learning is a lifelong experience.
