We are located in Historic Point section of Newport, RI. two blocks to downtown and waterfront. Our One bedroom Garden apt is in the rear of Main House with a Private entrance and its own Patio. The apt has a Queen bed in bedroom and a Queen pullout in living room that is separated by doors and the full Kitchen. Apt has A/C, wi-fi, patio, and off street parking. We really enjoyed our stay with Gary and Pat. The apartment is as nice as its pictures and is so convenient to many of Newport's attractions. Breakfast was lovely. But perhaps the best part of our trip was the warmth and helpfulness of Gary and Pat. A truly wonderful weekend
Spent a wonderful girls weekend in Newport, and staying in the Garden Apartment turned out to be the perfect choice. There were just two of us, so one slept in the bedroom and the other on the pull-out sofa in the living room. The apartment was just what we needed, spacious, and nice to have our own entrance. We appreciated the bathroom amenities, they even had toothpaste and mouthwash. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable, and we really enjoyed breakfast each morning, something not so typical at an air bnb. The location was perfect, right in the historic district, in walking distance to shops and restaurants and a short drive to the beaches, mansions, and cliff walk. It was a real plus to have off-street parking included as well. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.
Pat and Gary were very nice hosts.
The location is walking distance to the wharf shops and baseball field.
The sunny backyard is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast and start your day.
Gary was very friendly and was flexible on when I arrived. He was very accommodating and will be visiting him again.
His place is a five-minute walk from main Thames Street (the brick all pub side), and it was easy in and out walking. They had off street parking available which was great because Newport has strict permit parking laws in the summer.
His one bedroom apartment was very clean and accommodating. In the bedroom are a queen bed and a dresser. This makes the room snug in the bedroom, but who cares, right?
Additionally the bathroom and living room were a good size, and the kitchen was average sized.
There we A/C units in the bedroom and the living room as well as ceiling fans to cool things off in the hot summer.
I will be returning to the apartment in a few weeks. I would recommend this place for sure!
The garden apartment was exactly what we were looking for! Pat and Gary were very accommodating after a train delay got us in around 11:30 at night. Everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location was easy to access everything - we could walk to restaurants, and it was a quick drive to the beach, the Cliff Walk, and other major sights. We enjoyed talking to Pat, petting Onyx, their pet husky, and overall had a wonderful time!
Great, very comfortable accommodations with a perfect location for us. Pat and Gary were family friendly, perfect hosts and we enjoyed sharing their house.
This was in an more than excellent location and had a great setup! It was just as advertised and the backyard was great. I would highly recommend if you are heading up to Newport!
