It was really convenient to stay at Maira`s apartment, as a coop and sub-station were just in front of us. The train running in front of the apartment was really noisy, if you happened to open the windows to get the fresh and cool air in mid summer. However, the apartment was in the heart of the old town, so that we went up to the Cathedral to meet the sunset after dinner. Maira and her mother quickly responded our request and questions. Thank you so much for your nice hospitalities during our stay for five nights.
Maria was a wonderful host! She always replied quickly and her description of her apartment was accurate, and it was lovely. The only complaint is that the apartment is noisy at night because it is right next to a train station. (which also makes it convenient.) BUT the location did make up for the noise. It is very easy to get to the lake and you are also next to wonderful restaurants, next to all of the shopping, and the COOP is across the street.
It was love at first sight. When I saw Maira's flat on airbnb I knew, this would be the perfect little get-away in the beautiful Lausanne. Maira is such a wonderful host! Fresh towels and bedding...Nespresso coffee...fresh flowers..it's those little touches that make an airbnb host stand out! The apartment is located in the city centre, is airy and bright and a place you never want to leave again! Merci Maira for letting us stay at your perfect apartment!
Maira was lovely and her apartment was great. There were lovely flowers when we arrived and she was always very helpful and accommodating. The apartment location is fantastic and the apartment itself is adorable. We loved being there. The only thing I would say is that the apartment was a bit darker than we had thought it would be, and also a bit loud because of the metro nearby. Even knowing these things, we were still very happy to be there and glad we got to share her lovely space.
Maira was a great host! She replied to any questions immediately and it was lovely to meet her in person when I arrived at the apartment. Little attentions such as Nespresso capsules and tea make also a difference. The place is really comfortable, well decorated and the location is fantastic! It does get noisy at night if it is too hot to close the windows, otherwise the place is perfect.
We had a wonderful four-night stay in Maira's delightful apartment. All the information you need is on her listing and in the reviews. Maira was there to meet us and make us welcome, even providing fresh flowers. The apartment is light and airy and makes ingenious use of the space as you can see from the photos. It is extremely clean and comfortable and just wonderful to come back to after a day's sight-seeing! It simply could not be more central: and although of course there is street-noise with the windows open, they are incredibly effective sound-proofing once they are closed! The shutters enabled us to make the apartment dark at night, which made for a good night's sleep. There was no sound from the neighbouring apartments and I hope they could not hear the episodes of Breaking Bad which we watched on our relaxing nights in. Switzerland is very expensive to eat out, and so Maira's flat provided us with a good little kitchen for cooking and with an Aldi just across the road, we were easily able to find our ingredients with the added bonus of a nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone for £5! We were unaware that shops and restaurants are mostly shut on Sundays, but there is a small and well-stocked Co-op in the station (near platform 9) which we called in at to prevent ourselves from starving on the Sunday! The transport system in Switzerland is incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lausanne and would like to express our deepest thanks to Maira for making us feel so welcome and for letting us stay in her lovely place!
Mara is an amazing host, very kind and welcoming, always promptly responding to any questions. And the apartment is everything you need for a short stay!! Very wll equipped, you feel at home immediately there. It is also very central, literally seconds away from Bessieres metro station, and surprisingly quiet. Perfect for one person or a couple.
