Lizzie's cottage is a gorgeous converted barn and is really more a house than cottage! We absolutely loved the exposed beams, pretty gardens and full-sized kitchen, not to mention the book collection. A warm, cosy bolthole for couples or families who like to cook.
Absolutely wonderful place! Gorgeous cottage and setting with gracious hosts. Lots of lovely finishing touches, like the welcome package, including fresh eggs! Hugo was great, perfect mix of privacy and helpfulness. Would recommend!
Lizzie and her family were great hosts and they could not have made our experience in their cottage any better. Lizzie made sure check-in was easy, she had treats waiting for our arrival, and made sure everything was perfect. The house and garden are beautiful, the location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds, and the area is great for relaxing and walking. We have already recommended the cottage to friends, and hope to return again ourselves!
My family and I had such a lovely weekend at Hugo and Lizzies' beautiful cottage.
The pictures don't do it justice, everything about it was great and there was plenty of space for 4 of us. Hugo and Lizzie couldn't have been more welcoming and were really helpful recommending good local walks and places to visit near by. The location was great, right in the middle of the beautiful oxfordshire countryside and it was a perfect family weekend with a very homely feel. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Hugo & Lizzie's Cotswold Cottage. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and relaxing place to stay, in a more beautiful part of the country.
Hugo & Lizzie are so very hospitable, they have thought of everything, and then some, in creating the perfect holiday retreat. Clean, cosy and lovely wood burner.
We look forward to visiting again soon.
We had had a gorgeous weekend in this beautiful newly converted barn, in lovely cotswold country with some great pubs a walk away. It's a really cosy place, homely but newly decorated, with lots of room for 4 people and everything you'd need - even a map with good walks marked out! Lizzie was so friendly and helpful, and really went above and beyond, picking us up from the station and leaving a 'starter pack' of chocolate and kitchen essentials! A real home from home and just what we needed to unwind and catch up. Thank you so much!
We are a family of four plus a horse, two dogs, a cat and chickens! We have lived in Lyneham since 1997 and love the close-knit community here.
Hugo is a director of a Broadband business and a Social Media consultant and Lizzie is a Freelance Events and Media Producer now having been part of the fundraising team at Helen & Douglas House hospice for children and young adults in Oxford for 12 years..
We love having a house full of friends and family, going to the cinema, theatre and live music and eating out locally.
