This house is located on a non-touristy part in the middle of nowhere.
2hours from Tokyo.
4hours from Kyoto.

15min by car from JR Iiyama station (pickup available).
In winter you can ski closeby.
Many Onsen are located nearby.
We can arrange transportation.

The space
Basically, one room is prepared for one or two guests.
Each room has a washbasin and a private toilet w/ a cleansing toilet seat.
The rooms are without a private bathroom but have a toilet.
Bathroom and shower room are shared with guests of other rooms.

We are a private BnB in the middle of nowhere and not a 5-star Hotel in the big city, the house is always completely tidy and cleaned but it's a small house we live in, sometimes we have little things to fix as for example you may see little bugs, you may feel the smell of the oil heater is strong.

Guest access
You will have access to the living and dining room, the bathroom and the shower room on the first floor, and the bedrooms (w/ toilet) are located on the 2nd floor.

Other things to note
This bnb is run by myself and my wife. We have a lot of work to do, and we don't get enough time to cook.
I'm sorry but we cannot accept guests with any dietary restrictions - people with allergies, people who don't eat meat, people who don't eat seafood, etc. I'm the only chef, so I can't cook many dishes. I use all kinds of ingredients, including vegetables, pork, dairy products, and flour etc. I appreciate everyone's understanding.

On other seasons if you are a vegetarian, please let me know clearly what you can and cannot eat before booking. I will try my best to make dishes that you like.

Kids are very welcome,
and they can pay 5000 JPY if your kid is an elementary school student (6 years old or older).
Kids 2 to 6 years old are 3500 yen.
Extra Futon for 1500 JPY.

I will send you a special offer,
so please let me know how many children you have in advance.
Because if you have kids and try to book as is,
you cannot book on this page.

This bnb is very small, narrow,
and home equipment's are not perfect like 5-star hotel.
Heating of the room uses an oil fan heater.
For safety, the heater automatically turns off in 3 hours.
After 3 hours you can switch on again.
Our house is located in one of heavy snowy areas in Japan,
built by snow country specifications, we can spend very warmly in the room.

We will pick you up at only Iiyama station around or after 3pm. Check in time is 3pm to 8pm. I'm sorry, but we cannot pick you up at any other locations.

Where you’ll be

Kijimadaira, Nagano-ken, Japan

Japan in general is an easy place to travel around. Getting to Kijimadaira is easy with Shinkansen. You can buy JR pass in your country. It is less than 2 hours from Tokyo to Iiyama. Just 4 hours from Kyoto. It is less than 80min. from Kanazawa. Just 15min. drive from Iiyama station to my house. You can come right now. 30 minutes by bus from Iiyama station to the Snow Monkey Park. Only 11minutes from Nagano station with Zenkoji to Iiyama station.

Kijimadaira is a small village located between Nozawa onsen and Snow monkey park in the north of Nagano pref. My house is up on a hill with city views. Surrounded by forests and very quiet and peaceful. Nozawa onsen and the Snow monkey park are crowded with many tourists like Tokyo, but the surroundings of my house is peaceful.
There are no shops and restaurants around my house, there are only forests and fields. There may be opportunities to meet foxes and raccoons. If necessary, we will take you to a supermarket or convenience store.
