View of Big Powderhorn Ski Resort from your own chalet in quiet ski village. Snowmobile trail, Nordic ski & snowshoe right in the village. Just off Black River Scenic Byway to stunning waterfalls, Copper Peak Adventure Ride and Black River Harbor at L. Superior. Near Ottawa National Forest, Lake of the Clouds, Porcupine Mountains.. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Art studios, restaurants and shops nearby. Warm & cozy

The space
Ski Chalet of beautiful cedar & beam structure nestled in the charming Bavarian style Big Powderhorn ski village. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, full bathroom and space for bags & gear.

Up a small set of stairs is a living area, kitchen, deck and 1/2 bath. A vertical wall ladder leads to a sleeping, open loft with 2 twin beds and window in the top peak of the chalet. Cozy and not for small children due to the ladder/stair open floor entry.

Rave reviews with WiFi and Smart tv that you can connect to.

Guest access
Contactless entry with hosts at the Lodge next door if you have any questions at all. AFrame guest house is located adjacent to Powder Hound Lodge. Plenty of parking for trailers & toys right next door and a few vehicles right at the Chalet. Pups & children have access to the front of the Chalet.

Other things to note
We are dog friendly as long as pets are fully housebroken, crated if left alone and overall good travelers & well behaved. If you bring a pup, please bring bedding for them. Pups must be on leash when outside due to our fenced in dogs and more down the street.
Miners Memorial Heritage Park has dog-friendly trails as do most of the parks.

The rugged U.P. is a hidden gem where you can truly get away, hike or snowshoe all day and not see a soul, find a secluded waterfall or beach, dine, find unique artisans, learn about logging & mining history of the region & experience amazing vistas across 2,500 square miles from the top of Copper Peak Adventure Ride Spring - Fall or across Lake Superior from bluffs along the North Country Trail. A short drive to Porcupine Mountains & Lake of the Clouds and an hour and a half to Apostle Islands & Bayfield, WI.
