With great intention, creativity & love, a magical 3 acre realm created for those seeking a quiet, sensual, nature connection experience! A unique retreat that is playful, soulful, rustic and epic. Consists of artsy private glass cottage, outside lounge kitchen, redwood outside shower/ bath house, hammock, lounge zones & fresh eggs from the chickens. "Off the grid" of neighborhoods yet minutes to beach, trails, wine tasting & downtown Santa Barbara. Renew, be happy!

The space
The GLASS HOUSE is a modern design art cottage which faces an epic natural forest through its solid glass walls. When inside, you feel like you're outside, completely exposed completely yet also feeling very much inside.. safe and cozy. It's this juxstaposition that makes the space so unique.

Guest access
The 3 acre exclusive wonderland through the sun gate is your zone. PLEASE NO walking or stopping cars on the road leading in or outside the sun gate and I thank you!

Other things to note
- Please note that the glass house does NOT have a lock on it as the architecture does not allow for this.

- Flashlights are recommended as not all places where you might walk are lit. Also the Earth is raw and uneven, not paved paths and creative natural stone steps in some places.

This is NOT an appropriate environment for people who are less adventurous or who have physical limitations. And you are coming here at your risk and choosing, dancing and balancing with the waves of Earth. Please be SURE this suits you before booking.

- Prior reviews mention trampoline, pool, hot tub. These are no longer with us. Your zone is the compound area: bath house, kitchen, cottage and the sycamore grove gorgeousness immediately surrounding these spaces. Other realms on the property are not part of the offering and thank you for your understanding!

- Also, as these are nature connection spaces, to understand the full range of the ecosystem. Birds cannot exist without insects, growing things cannot exist without Earth. As I long for you to get exactly what you need, please be sure you are one who can welcome nature as a whole.

While we do everything in our power to make sure the space is CLEAN and clear, still daddy long legs etc... can enter the spaces especially with doors open (i DO recommend doors open.. welcome fresh air in!). And to understand it is benign and safe here to do so. IF you prefer a more controlled environment like a hotel room, I support you to go that route. Nature connection is not for everyone and I want you happy wherever you land.

- Sensitive Septic system. Please do not overload the toilet with TP and for sure nothing except TP and human waste like tampons, wippies (yes, even one's that say they are safe for flushing or septic, they are for sure not safe for septic and plumbing) Do please give it a couple flushes if it's a larger load than normal and thank you so much for your care!

- NO wifi or cell reception and this is very much by design. I feel strong that there's places left on this planet where we can unplug. If you need to get to reception, please drive up to the 154. If you wish to do work on the land, I can direct you to a place on my property that's a sweet little walk to get to strong reception.

Enjoy the unplug from the machine!

- Please kindly take note of the above conditions PRIOR to requesting to visit and thank you so much!

Santa Barbara

From the host

My private property is a very large land, 11 acres, which is surrounded by other large private properties and national forest. We are outside neighborhood zones, a half mile off a private road, so it feels very much off the grid. Amazingly we are a mere 5 minutes from uptown shops in Santa Barbara, 10 minutes to dog friendly leashless beaches, airport and train station, 30 minutes to Santa Ynez wine country and 10-12 minutes anywhere in the heart of Santa Barbara shops, restaurants and entertainment. Truly best of ALL worlds!
