Builder Adolf Slowak builds his own house in 1912, with Villa Slovak. This means quality. A beautiful building, lovingly furnished, in a beautiful garden, right on the Großer Mühl - our "nature pool".

The offered accommodation, 1 room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and bathtub and separate toilet is self-contained for up to 2 guests, but can be used for up to 4 people (by arrangement up to 6 people) with additional rooms (1 - 2 people 1 room, 3 - 4 people 2 rooms - by arrangement 5 - 6 people 3 - rooms).
(If 3 rooms are used for 3 people, 5 people must be booked).
CHILDREN are very welcome in my house, BUT their parents have to pay attention to them. Very limited child protection!
The large terrace, the garden and our natural pool (the river in front of the house 'Große Mühl') can also be used.
The washing machine, tumble dryer and iron are in the laundry room in the basement and are available - per wash (including detergent) €2.00

Other things to note
There is a 2nd self-contained accommodation for 1 - 2 people on this floor.
A young family lives in the attic. I live on the upper floor myself.
We all use the same main entrance, terrace and garden.

Breakfast such as tea, fair trade organic coffee, chocolate, organic milk, toast bread, organic butter, organic honey, ... and homemade organic jam are in the kitchen. An extended breakfast is provided on request and at an additional cost.

In the center of Neufelden there is a café Schröckmayr-Kastner (Tuesday closed). This is also where you can buy fresh bread and pastries.

On the main road towards Rohrbach, in Altenfelden, there is a large Spar and Hofer supermarket. Also open Saturday afternoon and accessible by bus

Neighborhood highlights

The property is located in 4120 Neufelden, Rohrbach district in Upper Austria. In the water (Große Mühl) in front of the house, swimming and fishing become a natural experience. Fishermen can expect a diverse fish population 8 km downstream.
In the immediate vicinity - 400 m - there is a unique gourmet restaurant "Mühltalhof" and the unusual restaurant "Fernruf 7" (see my guide). Opposite the river is the Mühlkreisbahnhof with train connection to the state capital - to Linz (45 minutes). In the center of Neufelden (10 minutes walk uphill) there is 1 inn, 1 pizzeria and 1 café (see my guide).

For dog owners:
The property is NOT fenced!

Daily fishing permits for the Neufelden reservoir and from the bridge downstream to the Danube - "Ran & Ägir" - are available in the morning with a fishing permit or valid photo ID at Neufelden Town Hall. For guests outside Upper Austria, a guest card (valid for 3 weeks and costs €15 per person) is also required. Annual tickets are to be requested directly from Energie AG; fishing day: from sunrise to sunset; fishing season: 1st April to 30 November; Fish stock: carp, various white fish (bream, nose, Aitel, red eye, etc.), rainbow trout, perch, pike, pikeperch.

Attention: Monday and Tuesday the restaurant, except the café, is closed in Neufelden!

On Monday and Tuesday you can eat excellently at the Hauerwirt in St. Peter am Wimberg - 13 minutes by car. On Tuesdays, the restaurant Luciano in Altenfelden - 4 minutes by car - and the award-winning restaurant Keplingerwirt in St Johann am Wimberg - 17 minutes by car - have excellent food.

25 minutes by car is a small but very fine ski paradise - Hochficht in the Bohemian Forest - wonderful for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, skiing,....

In 42 minutes by car, there is the Eurotherme Bad Schallerbach with spectacular water slides, saunas and various swimming pools with all the trimmings.

To Český Krumlov/Czech Republic in 1 hour and 16 minutes.

Passau in Germany is 54 minutes away.
