If you are looking for a beautiful getaway 5 minutes (by walk) from the beach, this is the perfect place for you. This well equipped villa with air conditioning in the master bedroom is in the midst of a 1.25 acre Casuarina grove.
It is styled with the local Konkani architecture, so that you can enjoy a authentic coastal experience when you stay with us. It is located 3 kms from Gokarna town centre.
A limited breakfast is also included in your stay.

The space
The living-quarters are styled in the local Konkan architectural style. The villa covers only 800 sq-feet of the 50,000 sq-feet. The property is studded with Casuarina trees (ಗಾಳಿ ಮರಾ) that dot the entire villa, it also contains mango, coconut and cashew trees.
When you enter the villa, you are welcomed into the foyer/veranda which includes benches of black limestone (ಕಡಪ್ಪ ಕಲ್ಲು) and beach chairs which are a must in every coastal home nearby. Don’t miss out on the lazy-afternoon sea-breeze going through the veranda especially on warm days. The foyer opens to a multi-functional living room which also houses a mini-kitchen. The kitchenette stacks basic utensils, a refrigerator (including freezer), gas stove, clean cutlery/utensils, waste disposal and so on. The living room/kitchen provides access to the master bedroom, second bedroom and also the bathroom/toilet. The master bedroom, on the ground floor isa air conditioned, has a queen sized bed, wall mounted wardrobe, two bamboo chairs, and so on. You can also find extra bedsheets and pillows in the wardrobe. The second bedroom/loft is on the first floor and is accessible by ladder-styled-stairs. This bedroom contains two floor-mattresses. The well-equipped bathroom/toilet contains a WC (western), a shower and also a wash sink/basin along with a mirror. It also contains essential toiletries and do not hesitate to ask our caretaker Ravi if you are missing out on anything. Basic facilities are available in the villa including: fresh towels, bed-sheets, quilts, shower-gel, shampoo, tooth-paste, tooth-brush, refrigerator (including freezer), gas-stove, clean cutlery/utensils, waste disposal, yoga-mat and so on. Hot-water is accessible through a wood-burning stove maintained by our caretaker, Ravi.
A few benches and hammocks are also setup near the villa for you to enjoy the outdoors.
You can simply walk down to the Dubbanasisi beach which is less than 5 minutes from the villa.
The villa is ideally suited for four guests, extendable to seven.
Guest access
There are two villas in the entire 50,000 square feet private compound which includes a plethora of trees, benches and hammocks. This large private area will only be shared with another villa.
Parking is available in the villa free of charge.
Other things to note
Before booking this place, know a few things which are very unique however, not everyone may like or appreciate. It's a very rustic and quaint place. So it's not the luxurious stay you might expect but it's a wonderful experience staying in your own villa among the nature. It's the quintessential rustic stay in a coastal town - a must stay but please keep expectations of a resort at bay.
1. During the night, you might hear the waves of the sea.
Also during certain months you might also hear the peacocks cawing. As beautiful as peacocks are, the cawing of peacocks is not melodious.
2. The second bedroom is accessible by ladder-styled stairs.
3. The second bedroom has floor-mattresses and has a ceiling fan. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and has two pedestal fans.
4. There is one common bathroom in the villa.
5. We are an eco-friendly villa which means we do not use harmful insecticides and pesticides. This means you may occasionally see some common house gecko and/or frogs during your stay.
Safety precautions:
1. Narcotics and drugs are prohibited inside the premises. Loud noises after 11 PM are also prohibited.
2. The Dubbanasisi beach is not safe for swimming. It is highly recommended NOT to swim in the Dubbanasisi beach. The Om Beach and Gokarana main beach are generally considered safe for swimming
