The newly renovated Highlands House is located in the heart of the River Road Wine Trail. The stunning backdrop of the Santa Lucia Highlands and breathtaking views of the Salinas Valley farmland promise an unforgettable getaway. The surrounding vineyard along with the adjacent Pessagno Winery & Tasting Room will complete your wine country experience. Driving proximity to beautiful Carmel / Valley and Monterey with great dining and attractions provides the best Monterey County has to offer.

The space
Only 30 miles away from Monterey and Carmel attractions, located in the heart of the world famous Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, this quaint (1400 sq. ft.) wine country cottage is surrounded by many well-known wineries in the Monterey County and offers full privacy of the wine country. Light, comfortable space features two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living and dining areas. Amazing views from anywhere in the house. Beautiful landscaping, built-in BBQ, brick patio, outdoor pond with fountain, Tesla car charger and a complimentary welcome wine amenity are just a few special touches we offer. Please note, our property is located on a working vineyard and occasional vine management may take place during different times of the year and different times of the day. Any vine management is done in a sustainable and organic manner and occasionally may include spraying with non-toxic products.

Guest access
Pessagno Winery & Tasting Room is open Thursday through Monday from Noon to 5pm. Guests of the Highland House will receive 10% discount on purchases at the Pessagno Winery and the family-owned Puma Road Winery and Tasting Room.
Optional activities (additional fee and must be arranged in advance) include guided vineyard tours, private chef, special event photography. If you are interested in scheduling an event, banquet space at both wineries can be booked separately - please let me know if you are interested.

Other things to note
Please let me know if you plan to bring one small dog. Unfortunately cats are prohibited. This must be disclosed before renting the house.
