A sleek, sunny, newly-remodeled studio apartment with a charming, small roof terrace. Located in a quiet courtyard between Türken and Amalien streets in the trendy university district.
Relax in the full-size bed under the skylights and enjoy delicious complementary Nespresso coffee. You will find a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom. And of course there’s free high-speed Wi-Fi (20 Mbit).
The house is equipped with a lift and has as a public underground parking garage if you should come by car (15 €/day). Washing machines and driers are available in the house, but there’s also a laundry around the corner.
There are shops, restaurants and bars in abundance right outside the door. The museum quarter with the three Pinakotheken and the Sammlung Brandhorst, the Lenbachhaus and the just-opened Egyptian Museum is only a short, lovely walk away, as is the English Garden with Munichs most famous beer garden, the Chinesischer Turm.
The metro stop "Universität" is only 2 minutes away. From there it is only two quick stops to Marienplatz. Tram 27 is also right around the corner. It takes you in five minutes to Karlsplatz or Sendlinger Tor or Elisabethmarkt and Kurfürstenplatz in Schwabing. There are also several bus lines close by.
Smoking please only outside on the terrace.
Perfection in Munich! The location is perfect for a trip to Munich! Quick access to the English gardens, public transport and city center. The flat is clean, and even better then the pictures. Thilo went out of his way to make sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Munich!
Our host was amazing. He was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay in Munich.
The flat was perfect, exactly what was described and just what myself and my boyfriend needed. Perfect location, great area with lots of cool & funky cafes/ bars.
They weather was stunning so we spent full day on hired bikes exploring the city... highly recommend!
I had a great stay at Thilo's studio apartment in Maxvorstadt.
Comfortable bed, quality flooring, fully stocked kitchen and a spacious bathroom - all to a very high spec. Also have to mention the lovely balcony which was a great addition with the warm weather.
I don't think you could get a much better apartment in a more central location - there is a great variety of bars and restaurants on the doorstep in the University quarter, and the English Garden and Marienplatz are a short walk away.
Will definitely be back in the near future!
The apartment was great. Thilo was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. The apartment itself was in an ideal location. It was so close to the city centre that we walked there a couple of times. The apartment building was quiet and is a good substitute to the hostel life. I would definitely suggest the apartment to anyone who is stopping through Munich. Thank you Thilo.
This was our first experience of Airbnb and it couldn't have been better. Thilo's apartment is in a fantastic location in Maxvorstadt, Munich's museum district, and surrounded by numerous independent cafes, restaurants and bookshops. It is close to several U-Bahn stations but you can also walk to most places: Marienplatz is just a 15-minute walk away. The apartment itself is spacious, beautifully decorated and situated in a cool 1970s building complex, the 'Amalienpassage'. Thilo was easy to reach and a friendly and attentive host. We will definitely be recommending his apartment to anyone visiting Munich.
Thilo was an excellent host. The communication before arrival was easy and with quick responses. We arrived late Friday night, but this was no problem for Thilo. Check out was flexible as well, as we could just leave the keys. The apartment is very nice - bright, spacious and clean. A perfect place for two. And the neighborhood is very cool, right beside the university, so there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars just around the corner.
