The cabin is amazing! Me and my three friends stayed three nights there, we would've loved to stay longer!!! We enjoyed to sit on the sofas in the living room and watching tv, playing games. The kitchen is equipped with everything we need. Beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is huge.
Our host Tchukon is very nice and friendly. He texted us to make sure we get to the cabin and came to meet us in the evening and answered all our questions.
Amazing cabin with everything and beyond you could need for a great weekend in the woods. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day!
Couldn't have picked a better place to spend time away from the city. The cabin is clean, and well maintained. There was plenty of cookware. New utilities. AirPlay.
We stayed two nights at this cabin and had a great time! It was such a cute/cozy/quaint cabin and was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Tchukon was a great host and provided us quickly with everything we could ask for. He also told us about "Mariposa Coffee Company" and it was the best local coffee I've ever had...a great experience overall and would highly recommend this cabin.
This was the perfect autumn weekend getaway in the woods. There was plenty of room for our dog to run and the proximity to the park is great. We hiked the Hite trail which is about a 30 min drive from the cabin. Richard, Tchukon's father, was very helpful and also directed us to some hiking on the neighbors pasture.
The cabin itself is beautiful timber construction, has a wood burning stove that keeps the place toasty warm, a large and well appointed kitchen, and comfy beds. There is a tv with all the cable channels, but we didn't use it at all. The speaker system is connected to an airport express so you can wirelessly stream your music to the speakers from any iPhone/iPad.
If you're looking to go out to eat at all, the South Gate Brewery is about a 15 min drive east on 49 and has great beer and food.
One last thing, plan on spotty cell phone service - for me that is a plus.
As nice as it looks in the listing, the pictures don't actually do the place justice - it's great. We were so pleased with the cabin and the location - we would definitely recommend anyone to stay and are ready to go back ourselves!
Tchukon and his father were waiting at the cabin when we arrived and it was lovely to meet them and be shown around the cabin. The cabin was amazing - fitted out with every comfort you could want, the kitchen was huge and a great place to cook after a day in Yosemite. It was in a very private spot and the deck was perfect to have a bbq and relax in the sunshine.
The only negative was that we didn't get to stay long enough!

I am currently living in Mariposa near Yosemite. A breath taking area as many of you know. I was trained as a tradtional french chef. Some of my interests involve horseback riding, hiking, bee keeping and off roading.
