Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.

Dedicated workspace

A room with wifi that’s well-suited for working.
This is one of 3 available cottages to rent in the wonderful grounds of Chateau St Victor la Coste. It is the largest and most beautiful with one enormous double bed, but can add a futon on the floor or cot for a small child . It has a bathroom with tub and hand held shower . It shares the salon and kitchen .with the other 2 cottages’. Each cottage has its own fridge in the newly renovated kitchen The Chateau is in the classified old village and walking distance to shops and restaurant.

The space
Very rare opportunity to stay in a 16 th century castle which is not corporate and is privately owned. Tremendous history and incredibly beautiful. It is not modern and uniform but completely authentic and magical. The pool and gardens are magnificent and have been used for photographic fashion shoots.

Guest access
Apart from your own cottage ( dependence ) you share the pool and gardens with us and guests in the other 2 cottages ( all private and separate ). The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is shared by the 3 cottages and there are additional tables and chairs in the garden and on the terrace. The kitchen is old fashioned ( it's an old chateau ) but very well equipped Access is by the side garden door to the little village and church. Parking is just below the ramparts in a large leafy place near the church.

Other things to note
Please note the cottages do not have wifi. The main Chateau has in the salon which you share and sometimes you can get a signal around the pool. This is a 16th century building with very thick old stone walls so wifi is difficult here.

Neighborhood highlights

Very quiet little quintessentially French village with boulangerie general store tabac post office school hairdresser and restaurant ( excellent plat de jour and cheese board !) otherwise there is busy Avignon , Uzes and Pont de Gard to visit and a fantastic weekly brocante market at Villleneuve Les Avignon all very close to visit and then retreat back to the tranquility of the chateau. The surrounding countryside is so very beautiful. Vineyards and cycling tracks which are safe. Mont Ventoux is near for the more challenging cyclist !

My work: Dentist / Engineer
Fun fact: We are learning to dance tango
I am a dentist previously living in the north of England but moved to Paris with my partner Costas 10 yeas ago but for the past 7 we have been renovating a lovely old Chateau in the south.. We have 5 grown up kids between us but none together. We love travelling and enjoy meeting new people and learning their culture. We love good food, theatre, music and outdoor life- preferably with some sunshine! We have both travelled extensively and had a great time meeting lots of interesting people along the way but now this enchanting part of rural France keeps drawing us back. . Life is for living to the max- enjoy it ! however it gets harder and harder to leave France as we become more involved especially with my garden and all the lovely produce. The way of life is easy and suits us .We now run courses about life in Provence from the Chateau so people come to us and enjoy this wonderful area and food and hopefully take away some of the magic of this lovely old place
