The space
The Orangery is located near a sandy beach at the west side of a peaceful peninsula: in the beautiful archipelago of Karlskrona, a World Heritage site in the south of Sweden. Its architecture can be described as a modern take on the elegant classic orangeries from past centuries. Its original curved shape and stylish interior with views all around make it a perfect place when looking for a new angle on life.

The comfortable four poster pergola bed adds a touch of romance and garden atmosphere. Extra large dual king size 180 x 210 cm, motorized and individually adjustable with remote control. Living the dream and watching movies from bed has never been easier and more enjoyable. Once you step in, you might not want to come out again! Memory foam mattresses for extra comfort.

There's lots of natural light from south-west facing windows, while the plants, underfloor heating and optimal insulation provide a pleasant and healthy experience: from summer to winter.

All large windows have remote controlled blinds for adjusting sunlight, or total privacy at the touch of a button.

Dimmable LED lighting lets you create exactly the atmosphere you want.

What about a cozy dinner by candlelight near the wood burning stove? Or perhaps during warmer days a barbecue at the terrace near the natural swimming pond? Breathe the sweet smell of wild honeysuckle that grows right beside and hear the birds singing. With some luck you can say hello to a deer passing by!

Enjoy our infinity pool (12.5 m) with stunning views of the archipelago and marina. Heated from may to october. Regardless of the weather: lots of space also under the roof. Comfortable sun loungers and cosy seating area with direct access to the pool. You can play your own music using the pool's blue-tooth speakers. One time up to 1 hour private use free of charge with every booking, more after agreement.

The large curved terrace provides an ideal and private setting for enjoying the sunshine or shade with comfortable garden furniture and a dining table for 6 people.

A surround sound system makes watching movies an experience to look forward to! In-wall and ceiling speakers, Home Theater PC with a.o. Netflix, Youtube and Spotify.

Have fun playing vinyl music records on a genuine vintage turntable! We have a few hundred LP albums and singles to choose from. If you have some old records laying around, just bring some with you :)

Our aluminium motorboat can be rented, great for exploring the beautiful archipelago or fishing!

We do not charge a cleaning fee, and ask that guests leave the property as they find it. Before checking out, you must clean (take out the trash, empty the dishwasher and refrigerator, vacuum and put things away). You can purchase a final cleaning for 75 Euro.

The price includes:
towels and bed linen for all guests, water, electricity, WiFi, Netflix streaming, use of the washing machine, barbecue grill and some wood for the wood burning stove. More wood can be purchased at the local supermarkets and petrol station.

The Orangey has comfortable floorheating. Temperature is controlled by a heatpump and kept around 20-21 degrees, as prefered by most of our guests. Due to high energy costs, we charge 10 Euro per night for increasing this.

Where you’ll be

Nättraby, Blekinge län, Sweden

The area is very suited for jogging or just wandering around. There are lovely, sometimes hidden, pathways and viewpoints nearby that one really should check out! You'll find a nice mix of sea, forest and villas.

Nearby is a large playing and football field plus a jetty that is also popular with children. Two double courts and one single court are available to play padel (payment only via Swish).

The surroundings, with several protected nature reserves and unique landscape, are part of what is called "the garden of Sweden".
With a small boat, canoe or kayak one can experience its true charm.
Also great for fishing, one of our guests recently caught a pike nearby and a bucket of herring :)

Thanks to its location in a bay-like area of the archipelago, the sea is relatively calm most of the year. Many of the islands and the beach nearby have picnic facilities. The Right of Public Access (‘Allemansrätt’), or Outdoor Access Rights as it is now known, gives you the right to roam the countryside in Sweden in perfect peace and quiet.
