Where you’ll be

Playa del Carmen, QROO, Mexico

The house is located within a gated community.
There is security 24 hours a day.
The security gate is approximately a 10 minute walk to the house.

The commercial strip (5th Avenue), with restaurants and shops, begins right where the security gate is located. The streets are numbered in 2s. So for example, it starts on 2nd street. The next street will be 4th street, then 6, 8 etc.
The avenues are designated by 5s. So 5th avenue, then 10th Avenue 15th etc

5th Avenue has a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
It can keep you busy and entertained for a while.

There is also a club scene for people interested in partying. They are mainly concentrated on 5th Avenue and 12th Street. Trust me, you won't need to look to hard, you can hear for blocks.

For groceries, there is a Walmart close by. It can be a 20-30 minute walk depending on your pace. It's located on 30th avenue and 8th Street. There is also another supermarket located on 30th avenue. It is called MEGA. It is located 2 blocks after Walmart. My personal preference is the MEGA. It just seems less hectic and quieter than the Walmart, although I do go to both, if I can't find something in one, I'll go to the other and vice versa.

There are so many restaurants for all palates. So it depends on your personal preference. There is one cafe that I love and so many people enjoy is CHEZ CELINE (5th Ave and 30th street).
It is a French Bistro/Cafe. They have great Sandwiches, Pastries and coffee. Good breakfast but you should get there early because they do get crowded somethimes.
