I am looking forward to making new friends and sharing the beauty that is Hawaii with those who stay at Angel's Nest. I am happy to share my knowledge of the island, just ask.
Our neighborhood is small, beautiful, peaceful, quiet and charming, perfect for strolling thru, either on your way to the beach or just for the sake of a stroll thru the neighborhood. You may enjoy the vine swing on one of your strolls or just the many beautiful flowers and plants. You may discover one of the lesser known paths to the ocean. Perhaps you may want to hike to the lava, it's just a few miles down the famous "red road". At the end of the "red road" you will find Uncle Robert's awa bar, be sure to check out the Wednesday night market at Uncle's, it's the place to be! Next door to Uncle's is the Kalapana Café, a great place to get something tasty to eat. Going the other way on the "red road" just a short distance (still in the neighborhood) is the Ramashala Yoga retreat and just a mile or so farther is the Kalani Honua Yoga retreat. In between those two is "Space" where there is a fabulous farmers market on Saturday. A few more miles down red road you will find Ahalanui beach park, also known as the warm pond. Further still you will find Kapoho tide pools, a famous snorkeling spot. Sunday there is the Makuu market, it is the largest of the markets. Also on Sunday there is ecstatic dance at Kalani and the drum circle at Kehena Beach, so much to do, so little time!
best to have a car, the bus goes by twice a day except Sundays, but unless you plan to pretty much stay put or hitchhike, you will need a car.
One night guests will be charged a $30 cleaning fee and two night guests will be charged a $15 cleaning fee upon arrival. Longer stays are not charged. All stays will be charged the Hawaii GET and TAT a total of 13.42%. Taxes and cleaning fees will be charged in CASH upon arrival.
Angel and Gabriel are the best! A great and peaceful "hale ohana" with every amenity. The morning fruit baskets were excellent - harvested right on the property - and their welcoming and kind attitude radiated the real spirit of aloha! We would definitely return!
Stop your search here! This is by far the best b&b we've ever experienced. Everything is there: nature, clean and spacious accommodation and most importantly the best hosts you can imagine! Book it and you wont regret it!
Such a lovely spot to spend a few nights! Angel and Gabriel were super sweet hosts, the morning breakfast fruits and baked goods were always a delicious way to start the day. Loved the setting and the location.
Mahalo George and Elana for such a sweet review. It was great to see you the following Sunday at the drum circle. I'm sorry that we were booked that day and you had to go back to that awful hotel! If we had been open, we would have loved for you to come stay again. Mahalo, Angel and Gabriel
Angel was the most incredible host. We were adorned with beautiful lei garlands when we arrived for our ten day honeymoon stay.
Every morning we had an impressive spread of fruit picked from her garden for breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated with flowers and Gabriel's artwork. We had a lot of privacy as well as a lot of help and information from Angel. Even before we arrived Angel advised us to hire a car - we don't know what we would have done without it.
There is so much to do in Pahoa and Angel gave us lots of maps and local knowledge. They provided tea and coffee, a small fridge and microwave. Sharing the bathroom was fine and everything was clean and in working order.
We had the most wonderful time with Angel Gabriel - they really live up to their names! Aloha and Mahalo!
Such a delight to stay here! Angel and her husband are amazing and very helpful about directions/activities nearby! The room was beautiful. Angel left the nicest basket of fruit and muffins! Thanks again!!
Angel is an absolute angel! =) She helped us out with everything she could and she was by far the best host out of 6 or so we used on our Hawaii trip. She always made sure we were having an amazing time, great communication and great vibes. I hope to visit her and Gabriel again in the future. Mahalo!
Lovely room, great location, very spectacular Hawai'ian style breakfast. Thanks so much, Angel.
Angel and her family were fantastic hosts. She followed up and made sure I knew where I was going and how to get there and even suggested stops along the way. The room was very clean and freshly made up, she provided fresh fruit for us in the room (which was picked from the yard around the house!) and even invited us to her weekly beach party on Sundays. We had a bathroom right outside our room with towels and toiletries if needed.
Overall a very great experience and a very excellent and authentic location, a nice way to see parts of the Island I would not have thought to explore.
A beautiful property with beautiful people. Angel was very accommodating making sure I was very comfortable. Fresh local coffee and art was a huge surprise and a treat! Glad to have met you amazing people :) Definitely a gem in the Puna jungle. Mahalo for all the great hospitality & aloha.
Truly a Hawaiian paradise. Angel was an amazing host. She offered us dinner with her family, had decked the room in beautiful flowers for us, prepared a basket for us both days we were there with fresh fruits from her beautiful garden and homemade lemon cake and banana bread. Her husband is an amazing artist and I loved that he shared his paintings with us. There is a perfect black sand beach waking distance from her place where we watched the stars and watched the waves crashing at night. Angel and her husband are very sweet and relaxing people to be around. I will definitely be staying here again when I go back, and I give it my highest endorsement. This stay really made or vacation.
