Step into Winter’s Avalon and experience the rare feeling of living in the treetops. This rustic, airy home sits above a lush garden filled with old mangroves, orchids, palms, and wildlife. Breezes flow through the fully screened great room, and the canopy surrounds you so closely it feels like you could reach out and pick the mangoes.

The space
The house sits along a quiet canal just steps from the lagoon, giving you peaceful water views and easy access for kayaking, paddleboarding, and sunset watching. It’s a nature‑immersed retreat that still keeps you close to Maya Beach’s restaurants, bars, supermarket, and calm shoreline.

A Watchtower Made for Sunsets
Climb up to your private watchtower and take in panoramic views of the Maya Mountains and the lagoon. Sunset here becomes a nightly ritual—quiet, colorful, and unforgettable.

Spacious, Breezy Living
The home is designed for guests who love open space and natural airflow.
• Large primary bedroom with queen bed and sleeper sofa
• Cozy second bedroom perfect for kids or additional guests
• Huge screened great room combining kitchen, dining, and lounge areas
• Rustic, simple, and comfortable—built for breeze, shade, and relaxation
The house sleeps up to 6 guests when using the sleeper sofa.

Dock + Adventure Gear Included
Spend time on the private dock—ideal for morning coffee, fishing, reading, or stargazing. You’ll also have:
• 4 bikes
• 2 kayaks
• 1 stand‑up paddleboard
• Snorkel gear
• Fishing rod
Everything you need for exploring the lagoon, the beach, and the village.

Nature + Convenience
Winter’s Avalon sits in one of Maya Beach’s most peaceful pockets—quiet, green, and full of wildlife—yet just minutes from everything you need. It’s the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility.

Unplug and Feel the Breeze
There’s no A/C or TV here by design. The house stays naturally breezy, and the environment encourages slow mornings, long conversations, and time outdoors. Wi‑Fi is available when you want to connect.

Good to Know
Construction noise may occasionally be heard from a nearby home build.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire property. The house, watchtower, dock, garden, and all included gear—bikes, kayaks, paddleboard, snorkel equipment, and fishing rod—are available for their use throughout the stay. The space is private, open, and designed so guests can move freely and enjoy the treetop living experience without limitations.

Other things to note
The home is rustic, breezy, and deeply connected to nature, so guests should expect an open, airy environment rather than a sealed, air‑conditioned space. Wildlife is part of the experience—iguanas, birds, and agoutis are common around the property. The house sits along a quiet canal just steps from the lagoon, and while the area is peaceful, occasional construction noise from a nearby build may be heard. Everything on the property is available for guest use, including the dock and adventure gear, and nothing is locked away.

I am marine biologist and love nature. Originally from Austria we traveled a lot and lived in different countries but somehow Belize doesn't let us go :-) We, my wife and I, live on the property of Simberts Apartments. We love diving, dining out and a cold beer on our dock overlooking the beautiful canal just steps away from the Placencia lagoon. Especially, we love the tropical garden/jungle on the property and we love to observe the local animals which are around all the time like agoutis, iguanas, different types of birds, raccoons, etc. We are easy going people, well educated and love to discuss various topics. Have as much or little interaction with us, everything is fine and up to you. We also manage Winter´s Avalon which is our neighbor property and we will meet and greet guests of this property as well.
