I cannot begin to express how much this charming studio apartment exceeded our expectations. Not only was it exactly as photographed, but it was spotlessly clean, impeccably organized in a way that utilized the space efficiently so that it never felt too small, and in a fantastic location. The bed was comfortable, the wifi, tv, and appliances worked fabulously, there was loads of storage space to unpack both our suitcases, and Danielle's "how to" book was meticulously written to help us North Americans operate the very complicated European appliances and utilize the transit. The high end washer/dryer, stove/microwave, and dishwasher were much better quality than what we tend to have in Canada and they have a lot more features, but thanks to Danielle's diagrams and instructions, we were easily able to use them. They're also quiet so we could run them while inside the studio without them disturbing us. The shower had plenty of hot water. The only very tiny/minor issue was the toilet took a long time to fill up with water after you flushed and sometimes took a couple of flushes. But we got the hang of it after the first day! The washroom is tiny, but again, Danielle utilized the space efficiently so we were able to have all of our toiletries on the shelves.
The street outside is lively but the noise didn't bother us as we live in a downtown city. If it does bother people, the windows are completely soundproof when you close them.
Check-in was awesome where a friendly lady (Danielle's mom?) welcomed us after our train was delayed. Danielle was such a sweetheart keeping in contact when we had questions and really is everything you want in an AirBnB host since she obviously cares about you having a nice stay. The walk to get from the metro station Etienne Marcel to the apartment was very easy and close by. We had google mapped it and zoomed into the surrounding streets beforehand so we didn't have to use our cell data. The cabs in Paris are awful, so we definitely suggest if you stay at Danielle's to take the train from Chateau de Halle to/from the CDG airport. It's way cheaper and quite a pleasant commute.
The neighbourhood is ideally situated to see everything and it's away from the touristy vibe which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the local boutiques on our street and took advantage of the various markets in the neighbourhood. The fish market and butcher on the pedestrian portion on Rue Montmontre was fabulous where we were able to pick up dinner daily. Also, the art shops in the nearby arcades were amazing.
Don't hesitate to book Danielle's studio. It's glorious!
Great stay at Danielle's apartment- the nearby Montorgueil neighborhood is full of cute shops & cafés, and most of the major sights are a quick walk or metro ride away.
The apartment was well-equipped and perfectly clean.
Ganz ehrlich! Wir sind begeistert! Wir fühlten uns sehr gut bedient. Es war eine der besten Abrieb-Erfahrungen! Frische Handtücher, Kaffee, sogar 3-Omega-Butter! Alles da, was man braucht. Und dann noch eine Traum-Lage!!! Wir kommen wieder!!! Danke dir, liebe Danielle für diese Möglichkeit!
My wife and I and our 4-month old baby stayed at Danielle's and have absolutely no regrets! The location could not have been anymore perfect as it is virtually central to everything, yet just slightly off on a less busy street so that you can still sleep at night. This is an authentic Parisian apartment with Juliette balcony and all (going up the spiral staircase adds to the authenticity). The apartment is so central that you can get everywhere quickly by foot. The apartment is very clean and nicely modernized, and it was perfect for us even with a baby. The kitchen and bathroom are new and clean and we loved using the washer/dryer to wash our clothes. Upon arrival we were greeted by the cleaner who was very friendly, and Danielle was available by phone when required. Location is everything and this apartment is perfect for that! I highly recommend! Thank you Danielle!
Danielle's apartment was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the place to have everything we needed. The kitchenette was perfect for us to eat in on an evening, as there were several supermarkets just around the corner. The location is fantastic, we never got the metro anywhere and found that the area was filled with locals, it was great to experience a part of Paris that many tourists may miss. Would definitely love to stay again!
