Featured on Netflix's THE WORLDS MOST AMAZING VACATION RENTALS Season 2, ep. 1. Still Bend/Bernard Schwartz House is Frank Lloyd Wright's built version of his Life Magazine "Dream House" design from 1938. The house is located on the East Twin River about a mile from Lake Michigan. Beds: The three bedrooms upstairs have double beds and the Master bedroom has a queen size bed.

The space
Frank Lloyd Wright wrote in Life Magazine about the plan, “American...family life is unlike any other in the world and I think this plan recognizes it for pretty much what it is — a little private club — with special privacies, ultra conveniences and style all the while." This stunning four-bedroom, two full, and two half bath LIFE Magazine Dream House are yours to live in as if it is your own. Whether it’s two days or two weeks, you will experience the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright's vision for American family life. Imagine waking up in this magical space and listening to the birds on the river then while observing the the light show as the morning sun is projected through the clerestory window screens onto the red brick windows. Spend your day sitting in the 63-foot-long living room reading a vintage novel pulled from the shelves in the library. Go down to the dock on the river to watch a Sandhill Crane land with a splash or simply marvel at how the light changes throughout the day

Every turn will reveal a new detail that reaffirms Wright's genius. Spend a quiet evening around the fireplace and marvel at the thought that you are living in one of Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpieces! This is an opportunity to experience Frank Lloyd Wright’s vision for how the average American Family could live. Relax, slow down and let Wright’s genius unfold before you in a manner that is not possible on a typical house tour. There is something magical, almost spiritual, about being in a Wright space that leaves one transformed.

Any season is lovely at Still Bend. Winter invites you to light up of the fireplace in the lounge area and snuggle up with a book, enjoy one of the many dvds about Frank Lloyd Wright, or watch the the wildlife outside as the feeders become the social gathering place for the birds of the neighborhood. When the weather is milder, the beautiful outside area summons you to the firepit or to play games on the expansive backyard overlooking the Marsh.

The house has been featured on the Travel Channel's "Amazing Vacation Homes," The Fine Living Channel's "Around the World in 80 Homes," The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Dwell Magazine, Town and Country and at least 20 other national and regional Magazines.
