The space
Thanks for considering us for your stay in Moab.

We find that our quiet space is ideal for groups that are looking for a place to relax & rejuvenate in between adventures. Our goal is to make you feel at home while away from yours. We try to provide all the comforts you need in a cozy atmosphere customized to your stay.

The main bedroom we offer has a slider that you can come and go from quite easily. The second bedroom only has access from inside the house - it is directly across the hall from the one shown.

Both the main bedroom and the one across the hall contain fairly similar things. They both contain TVs as well as DVD players (no cable). Small dorm sized fridges, nightstands, traditional lamps as well as rock lamps.

There is one bathroom that your group will share. Since our goal is to cater to you, we only host one group at a time. This allows us to truly customize our home to meet your needs while you are staying with us.

You will find mostly organic products throughout the home ~ Dr. Bronner's soaps and lotions, locally roasted organic coffee and espresso, organic food purchased from the local co-op and farms whenever possible.

Please let us know what you enjoy to eat or can not and we prepare unique and fun things for you while here. You get home made treats to take with you on your adventure. Kitchen can be available upon request - can be helpful if you plan to make lunch to take with you for your days adventures.

The living room is also available, we've enjoyed getting to know many of our guests and hearing about fun things they've done as well as give ideas back when wanted.

Outside the home we have benches in several locations for you to sit and take in the sunrise, sunset or amazing rim views. There are many bird feeders on all sides of the home and we typically enjoy hummingbirds as a favorite although there are many types of birds.

Utah is known as the bee hive state - having over 1,000 native species of bees - most of which are non social so no worries, they won't bother you. We try to have a feast of flowers available to them so you will see many of them most likely when in Moab and onsite. Butterflies also love the flowers so we have many of them as well.

Where you’ll be

Moab, Utah, United States

We live south of the city part of Moab by about 10 minutes. It is much more rural, we have neighbors with horses and animals. There are lots of wild animals that wonder through the yard (deer, skunk, turkeys, turtles).

No street lights, so very dark at night.

Old City Park is around the corner from our house. Great green space and 18 hole disc golf course.

Born and raised in the Moab area I grew up enjoying all outdoor activities. I have spent most my time here but have traveled around the United States and to Mexico with my Girlfriend Jen and our toy Australian Shepherd Gaby. We recently had our second child, a little girl, Emma (born February 2022). Our first child, our son Kenny turned three in 2022 (born February 2019) .

Exploring the vast and remote canyons of Southern Utah by foot and by boat are my two favorites though in all my travels.

I enjoy gourmet cooking and getting creative with special diet requests. We use mostly organic items in our kitchen (from our garden & local co-op) and especially enjoy using our fresh free ranged chicken eggs from our own flock of hens.

We provide two different perspectives of the area since Jen moved here from Massachusetts several years ago and I was born and raised here. We love the area and helping people make the most of their time here as there is so much to see and do.
Please feel free to reach out for ideas and suggestions - I want you to enjoy your time here as much as I do!

During your stay

Being a bed and breakfast we provide a slightly different airbnb experience. We are home to greet you and ensure you have anything and everything you need while staying with us. We can provide as much or little interaction as you would like. Matt is a Moab native and has lots of good knowledge for anyone needing ideas/suggestions.

Your bedroom is at the end of the hall, so you are located slightly away from the main living areas that we would all share (living room and kitchen), as well as our bedroom.

Breakfast is made just for you, at your time of choosing. We would of course be there to serve you, unless you opted for a breakfast to go (which is also a possibility). Almost always all organic, we are also able to cook vegan, paleo, gluten free, or dairy free. Communicating what you like ahead of time ensures we can do our best to make you exactly what you would like, when you would like it.
