Creekside camping with electric and water (NO SEWER OR DUMP STATION - YOU MUST HAVE HOLDING TANKS). Spaces are small so sites are best suited for campers that are 25' or less or a maximum of two 4-person tents. 30 amp / 50 amp / 110 volt plugs available. Nearby outhouse and seasonal bath house available. Message us with any questions.

NO PETS - NO EXCEPTIONS!

The space
HomeGrown HideAways is a hundred acre holler in the beautiful Red Lick Valley near Berea, Ky. We have all the good (beautiful views, babbling brook, hiking trails) and the bad (insects, noisy roosters, poison ivy) that nature has to offer so come prepared. We recommend hiking boots, bug spray, and jackets for cool nights.

Tater Knob pottery is less than 2.5 miles from the farm. If you don't want to drive, it's a nice walk or, if our bikes are functioning properly, you can go for a ride. Tater Knob open Monday - Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Speaking of bikes, HomeGrown HideAways is just a short jaunt away from the TransAmerican Bicycle Trail. During the summer, you are quite likely to see folks riding through the hills and enjoying the scenery. Sometimes they even come stay with us!

Prepare to UNPLUG. No cell service, no wifi, just nature (but you can easily find us on the world wide web)! HomeGrown HideAways is a hundred-acre holler near Berea, Ky. It is owned and operated by Nathan & Jessa Turner, Jessa's mom, and a variety of pets and wildlife. All guests have access to our fully-stocked, chef-approved Community Kitchen which has COFFEE, and all major appliances (oven, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker) plus pots, pans, utensils, dishes and a 3 bin sink. Clean up after yourself. We have a steep and rugged hiking trail, several fire pits, and are just 6 miles from Get Outside Ky where you can rent kayaks. We do not have tv, internet, or cell reception. There are as many stars as there are bugs so come prepared for both! The farm's bath house is open from April through October (or whenever temps remain above freezing for an extended period of time) and features 4 flush toilets and 2 solar-heated showers. We ask that you leave your pets at home, but you are welcome to snuggle ours. If you don't like dogs, our place may not be a good fit for you since our critters get pretty excited to meet new guests and may jump on you (we promise we're working on training). For those with service animals, please be aware that there are coyotes, hawks, and other wildlife that might be a danger and we cannot guarantee how our dogs might react to your assistant. Please chat with us ahead of time to make sure we're the right option for you. We love sharing our beautiful farm and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

During your stay

The residents of HomeGrown HideAways recognize that you're probably visiting our farm to escape the daily hustle and bustle of regular life and might be looking for some peace and quiet away from other humans. No worries! While you are likely to see residents puttering around the farm doing chores, you're under no obligation to make chit-chat with us (unless, of course, you need something). On the flip-side, we'll never turn away anyone that wants to keep us company while we weed the garden!

We are a working farm so sometimes you can expect to hear things like tractors, chainsaws, roosters, barking dogs, coyotes, etc. We can't do anything about the roosters or coyotes, but if you want a relaxing afternoon nap in the hammock, just let us know and we'll work on quieter chores.
