The Space

This is a listing for room room #1 - mini apartment/tripple room with a double and sofa-bed (which can sleep 2 children)

Our grandmother’s (we call her “Mo”) house is located in a seaside resort town Palanga on the west coast of Lithuania, well known for its lively spirit, clean sea and pristine beaches.

The wooden house is over 100 years old and represents an authentic architectural style typical of Palanga. To better accomodate our guests, its 4 rooms (accomodating 2 to 4 people each) were recently renovated – taking care to retain the house spirit and historical context.

There is a shared shower and toilet inside, and another toilet in the summer house outside. The summer house also has fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, two tables and plenty of chairs which can be also taken outside.

The location is very central, just off the popular pedestrian street Basanaviciaus which is full of restaurants and bars, and close to the main Vytautas street. It’s within minutes of walking from the best white-sand beaches, local amenities & most sightseeing, including parks, museums and the local market (for more tips and suggestions, see our guidebook).

The place has good connections and is easily reached by both public and private transport. The main bus station is 10 min away by foot, the closest train station is Kretinga (10km) and Klaipėda (25 km), the main port city. Closest International airports: Palanga/Klaipėda PLQ 7km, Kaunas KUN 245km, Riga RIX 265km.

Despite central location, the place is quiet and peaceful. There’s a beautiful garden, ladden with apple trees and tended flowers where you can relax and enjoy lazy afternoons. There is a summer kitchen, basically equipped, as well as small grill - from time to time, we love gathering in the garden and having a healthy lunch together with some friends or (website hidden) House is traveler and animals friendly, comfortable and safe place to rest. We are looking forward to accommodating you throughout summer and beyond.

  • I saw Aiste only after some days and for a couple of minutes. But here parents are amazing and the host is wonderful. Location is very good - near the sea, near the main tourist street and not so far from main street of Palanga. Me and my family will recommend host for our friends.

  • Aiste's family was very friendy and helpful, we are glad to meet them in out trip.
The room and house itself were very nice, neat, clean and warm (even when the weather outside cold). The only small problem is a bit squeaky floor - so you can hear another guests walking by your room's door - but you can't hear sounds from room next to your - that's great :) And in high season you can hear music from restaurants on the Basanaviciaus street in the evenings - but only till the midnight when the music shuts up.

  • Aiste is an amazing and kind host - their place is a wonderful and warm house. Was sending my mother to stay and she came back incredibly rested and was very happy to meet Aiste and her family.

  • Aiste and her family are very nice hosts who gave us a lot of useful tips that enabled us to have a nice couple of days in Palanga. Although we made a mistake in our reservation and arrived too early, they received us warmly. The garden is beautiful, the wooden house also. We enjoyed the guest's kitchen and the perfect location next to the beach. We highly recommend this place!

  • Aiste was a wonderful hostess! The location of the house of her grandmother is excellent, close to the bus station, the beach and the main street of Palanga, while far from noise. I spent there three nights with two friends and all Aiste tips were very successful. If I ever return to Palanga I will trust her again :)

  • Hello, we had a good time in Palanga in Aistes house. Aiste kept in touch before we arrived and Evaldas was very friendly and helpful. The beach and the city is within walking distance.

  • Very nice place, close to the beach and to the centre of Palanga. Aiste and her brother are very helpful, he picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night and informed us about everything worth seeing in Palanga.

  • I would recommend with a great delight to spend your holydays at Aiste's and in her lovely and friendly family's environment. You may be sure that these people will be always glad to have you at their house and are happy to be of help on the issues you face.

  • Aiste and her family were gracious, joyous hosts! Aiste held a great correspondence with me ahead of time to accommodate our ever-changing arrival time. Then she welcomed us with a big sincere smile and was happy to help with any advise. The place itself is a relaxing haven where you can just chill for hours, stare at the flowers, hang out with other guests, enjoy fresh apples off the tree, or dry off after a quick dip in a nearby sea. We were overall very pleased and happy campers:)!
