The space

In a suggestive Franciscan atmosphere, in the very heart of the Umbrian countryside, you will find an ideal place to spend your weekends and your holidays, no matter if they are short or long. Peace and silence in the greens of hills and woods upon the Nera river valley wait for you.
The roughly 50 square meters house is restored in a country style, and has a double bedroom, a living room with a fireplace, a very sunny kitchen and a bathroom with a comfortable shower. Outside, you will find a wide garden with a nice table under the olive trees. A small swimming pool is also available.
The house is located near the village of Narni (3Km away) and not far from the city of Terni (15km). It is just one hour driving away from Rome or one hour by train. The house is an ideal hub to visit plenty of interesting sites in Umbria, but also in Tuscany, Marche and Latium.

Very nice house in the middle of nowhere. Giovanni's family was really great (we couldn't met giovanni himself). Big garden with terrace under a olive tree. All product for cooking and cleaning were available. Thanks giovanni!

This is a fantastic place in the grounds of a beautiful historical house! The countryside is wonderful- there's a breathtaking view on every corner. Giovanni was really friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The local medieval town of Narni is beautiful. The train to Rome is easy, and, if you're patient, and get to know the system, you can get around quite well with local busses. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a holiday that balances countryside and city! (…just don't forget to pack mosquito repellant!)

We had an amazing stay in this apartment, it was so relaxing to be here! The house has everything you can wish for (cooking equipment etc. is included) and you even have your own parking spot under a roof, an outside table and chairs under an olive tree, and an almost-private refreshing swimming pool! The house is next to an old renovated Monastery and has a very spacious garden. At night the only light you will see is from the moon and the stars. Giovanni is the best host you can wish for, he gave us a really interesting tour round the Monastery, invited us for a game of pool, took us to a farmer in the neighbourhood where we could buy really fresh vegetables, and made great recommendations - for example for the Marmare waterfalls near Terni. If you stay in Narni, definitely go to the waterfalls, it might be a bit touristy (and the entrance is 9 euros) but it's a great experience, as you can climb all the way up and have various viewing spots. This house is the perfect choice for a quiet holiday, I'd definitely recommend it to others! (But don't forget to bring anti-mosquito stuff if you're coming over during the summer!) I really hope we can return to Giovanni's place some day, we have very happy memories.

Still pretty new with Airbnb, but it looks like the kind of travelling, meeting people and sharing experiences I always tried to put into practice in my travelling life! I like to be open and friendly and to make other people feel at home in my place.
